About The Opportunity
Our client, an established builder specializing in luxury custom homes and cottages, is seeking an experienced Site Supervisor to oversee high-end residential construction projects throughout the Muskoka region.
This opportunity is ideal for a hands-on construction professional with a strong background in custom homebuilding, excellent trade coordination skills and a commitment to delivering exceptional quality and craftsmanship.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day construction activities on luxury custom home and cottage projects from initial site preparation through final completion.
- Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, trades and suppliers to ensure work is completed according to project schedules and quality standards.
- Review and interpret architectural drawings, specifications and construction documents.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential delays and proactively resolve site-related challenges.
- Ensure construction activities comply with applicable building codes, safety regulations and project requirements.
- Conduct regular site inspections to maintain high standards of workmanship, finishing and quality control.
- Coordinate material deliveries, inspections and trade sequencing to maintain efficient site operations.
- Work closely with Project Managers, homeowners, architects and consultants to ensure project expectations are met.
- Manage deficiencies and oversee final finishing activities through project handover.
- Maintain accurate site documentation, progress updates and daily reports.
- Minimum 5 years of residential construction experience, preferably in luxury custom homes, high-end estates or cottage construction.
- Previous experience in a Site Supervisor, Site Superintendent or similar leadership role.
- Strong understanding of residential construction methods, materials and finishing standards.
- Experience managing specialized trades and subcontractors on complex custom residential projects.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural and structural drawings.
- Strong organizational, scheduling and problem-solving skills.
- Hands-on approach with the ability to identify and resolve construction issues independently.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of Ontario Building Code requirements and construction safety practices.
- Valid driver's licence and ability to travel between project sites throughout Muskoka.
- Hourly compensation starting at $35+, based on experience and qualifications.
