We’re looking for a Commercial Waterproofer to join our client's team in Edmonton. This role suits someone with hands-on waterproofing experience who takes pride in proper surface preparation, clean application, and watertight detailing.
Responsibilities
- Install waterproofing systems on commercial foundations, below-grade walls, parkades, and other concrete structures.
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, grinding, priming, and repairing minor defects before application.
- Apply sheet membranes, fluid-applied membranes, and protective coatings according to project specifications.
- Complete waterproofing details around joints, corners, transitions, and penetrations.
- Install protection boards and drainage components as required.
- Identify and report substrate issues, membrane damage, and installation deficiencies.
- Handle materials and equipment safely and maintain a clean work area.
- Previous commercial waterproofing experience.
- Experience with sheet-applied or fluid-applied waterproofing systems.
- Strong attention to surface preparation, membrane continuity, and detailing.
- Ability to follow product instructions and project specifications.
- Comfortable working outdoors and performing physically demanding work.
- Reliable attendance and the ability to work well with a crew.
- Relevant safety training and certifications are an asset.
$30–$40 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
