Maintenance Manager in

In this position, you will be responsible for leading the plant maintenance function, improving equipment reliability, managing preventative maintenance programs, developing the maintenance team, and driving continuous improvement initiatives, directly contributing to the success and operations of our partner company.

- The typical hiring range for this position is $120,000 to $130,000 per year and is specific to candidates located in Ontario. Maintenance Manager Responsibilities:
- Lead, develop, and manage maintenance personnel, including training, performance, and resource planning
- Oversee preventative and predictive maintenance, equipment repairs, troubleshooting, modifications, and improvements
- Support highly automated production, assembly, electrical, mechanical, and controls-based equipment
- Monitor downtime, PM completion, overtime, maintenance costs, and departmental KPIs
- Drive continuous improvement focused on equipment reliability, efficiency, cost reduction, and plant performance
- Develop and manage annual maintenance budgets
- Coordinate contractors, equipment installations, facility improvements, relocations, and maintenance projects
- Manage spare parts inventory and purchasing requirements
- Partner with Operations, Engineering, and Quality to resolve equipment issues and improve performance
- Ensure compliance with IATF 16949, ISO 14001, OHSA, environmental, safety, and company standards
Maintenance Manager Qualifications
- Post-secondary Degree or Diploma in Engineering or a related engineering discipline required
- Minimum 5 years of progressive maintenance, engineering, or related manufacturing experience
- Previous supervisory or management experience required
- Experience within automotive, lighting, electronics, automated assembly, or similar high-volume manufacturing strongly preferred
- Strong knowledge of industrial maintenance, equipment reliability, preventative maintenance, and troubleshooting
- Experience leading maintenance teams in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Strong understanding of automation, mechanical and electrical equipment, Lean manufacturing, and continuous improvement
- Experience managing budgets, downtime, PM completion, labour costs, and maintenance KPIs
- Knowledge of IATF 16949 and ISO 14001 considered a strong asset
- Strong leadership, organizational, analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Ability to manage competing priorities and provide flexible support based on operational requirements
