A Taleo client is in need of a Senior Project Controller who will be is responsible for overseeing project financials, schedules, and performance metrics for a variety of projects. This contract, on-site role in Calgary, AB involves monitoring budgets, forecasting costs, tracking variances, and preparing regular financial and progress reports for project leadership and stakeholders. The Senior Project Controller collaborates closely with project managers, technical teams, and client representatives to ensure alignment between scope, resources, and timelines, and to identify and mitigate project risks. The role includes maintaining accurate documentation, supporting change management processes, and contributing to continuous improvement of project controls and reporting standards.
Qualifications
- Strong project controls expertise, including budgeting, cost control, forecasting, and schedule tracking.
- Proficiency in project management and financial tools (e.g., Excel, project planning software; Smartsheet experience is an asset).
- Ability to analyze complex data, prepare clear reports, and present findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Solid understanding of project governance, risk management, and change control processes.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills in a cross-functional environment.
- High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities under deadlines.
- Relevant post-secondary education in finance, accounting, business, engineering, or a related field.
