CONSULTANT - IT Project Manager

12 months - renewable

JOB SUMMARY

We are looking for a IT Project Manager for one of our clients in Montreal. This role will have to lead the delivery of strategic and complex technology initiatives. This role is responsible for managing infrastructure, cybersecurity, systems integration, and business application projects within high-visibility and mission-critical environments

The successful candidate will oversee the full project lifecycle, from initiation through operational handover, while coordinating internal teams, technology partners, and vendors. This individual will ensure effective governance, stakeholder alignment, and successful delivery against scope, budget, and schedule objectives.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Governance and Planning

Develop project charters, schedules, budgets, delivery plans, and governance frameworks.
Lead projects through a stage-gate delivery process.
Facilitate executive, steering committee, and project team meetings.
Define project success measures, deliverables, and acceptance criteria.

Execution and Delivery

Manage multiple projects and workstreams simultaneously.
Monitor scope, schedule, budget, risks, and change controls.
Remove roadblocks, resolve competing priorities, and maintain delivery momentum.
Coordinate operational transition, including documentation, training, and knowledge transfer.

Stakeholder Management

Serve as the primary liaison between business units, IT teams, external partners, and vendors.
Influence and mobilize cross-functional teams without direct authority.
Manage executive communications and stakeholder expectations.
Facilitate negotiations, conflict resolution, and consensus building.

Risk and Financial Management

Maintain RAID logs and mitigation plans.
Develop and manage CAPEX and OPEX budgets.
Coordinate procurement and vendor contract activities.
Prepare business cases and investment recommendations.

AI-Enhanced Project Delivery

Leverage AI tools to improve project delivery efficiency and reporting quality.
Automate meeting summaries, status reporting, and administrative project activities.
Promote responsible and secure adoption of AI technologies across project teams.

REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, Project Management, or a related field.
Minimum 8 years of experience leading complex IT projects.
Proven experience managing multi-stakeholder programs and vendor-driven initiatives.
Strong knowledge of Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, and hybrid delivery methodologies.
Experience in project financial management, procurement, and governance.
Solid understanding of IT infrastructure, cloud platforms, systems integration, and cybersecurity.
Practical experience using generative AI tools in a professional environment.
Proficiency with MS Project, Jira, Confluence, Smartsheet, and Microsoft 365.
Bilingualism is required because this role requires daily communication outside of Quebec

Nous sommes à la recherche d'un(e) Gestionnaire de projet TI expérimenté(e) pour un de nos clients de la région de Montréal. Ce rôle devra piloter la livraison de projets technologiques stratégiques et complexes. La personne retenue dirigera des initiatives d'infrastructure, de cybersécurité, d'intégration et d'applications d'affaires dans des environnements à haute visibilité et à fortes exigences opérationnelles.

Vous assurerez la gestion complète du cycle de vie des projets, de l'initiation jusqu'à la mise en exploitation, en coordonnant plusieurs équipes internes, partenaires technologiques et fournisseurs. Vous serez responsable d'aligner les parties prenantes, d'assurer une gouvernance efficace et de maintenir les projets sur la bonne trajectoire en matière d'échéancier, de budget et de portée.

RESPONSABILITÉS

Gouvernance et planification

Élaborer les chartes, plans de projet, échéanciers, budgets et stratégies de livraison.
Mettre en œuvre et gérer un cadre de gouvernance par jalons (stage-gate).
Animer les comités de gouvernance, les rencontres de suivi et les ateliers de travail.
Définir les critères de succès, les livrables et les critères d'acceptation.

Exécution et livraison

Diriger simultanément plusieurs projets ou volets de travail.
Assurer le suivi de l'avancement, des coûts, des risques et des changements de portée.
Gérer les priorités concurrentes et résoudre les obstacles afin de maintenir le rythme de livraison.
Coordonner la transition vers les opérations, incluant la documentation, la formation et le transfert de connaissances.

Gestion des parties prenantes

Agir comme point central entre les équipes d'affaires, les équipes TI, les partenaires externes et les fournisseurs.
Influencer et mobiliser des équipes multidisciplinaires sans autorité hiérarchique directe.
Gérer les communications exécutives et les attentes des parties prenantes.
Faciliter la résolution de conflits et la prise de décision.

Gestion des risques et finances

Maintenir les registres de risques, enjeux, actions et dépendances.
Élaborer et suivre les budgets CAPEX et OPEX.
Coordonner les activités d'approvisionnement et la gestion contractuelle.
Produire des analyses et recommandations soutenant les décisions d'investissement.

Utilisation de l'intelligence artificielle

Exploiter les outils d'IA pour améliorer la productivité et la qualité des livrables.
Automatiser la production de comptes rendus et de rapports.
Favoriser l'adoption responsable et sécuritaire des technologies d'IA au sein des équipes projet.

EXIGENCES

Baccalauréat en informatique, génie, administration, gestion de projet ou domaine connexe.
Minimum de 8 ans d'expérience en gestion de projets TI complexes.
Expérience démontrée de gestion dans des environnements multipartenaires.
Maîtrise des méthodologies Agile, Scrum, Waterfall et hybrides.
Solide expérience en gestion financière, gestion des fournisseurs et gouvernance de projet.
Bonne compréhension des infrastructures TI, de l'infonuagique, des intégrations et de la cybersécurité.
Expérience pratique de l'utilisation de l'IA générative dans un contexte professionnel.
Maîtrise des outils tels que MS Project, Jira, Confluence, Smartsheet et Microsoft 365.
Le bilinguisme est requis car ce rôle exige des communications quotidiennes à l'extérieur du Québec.
