The Program
At Taproot Community Support Services, we’re a 100 percent employee-owned organization through an Employee Ownership Trust (EOT). Every employee is an owner from their first day, with a voice in shaping Taproot’s future and the opportunity to share in employee ownership dividends.
As a Certified B Corporation, we harness business for good. Since 1983 we’ve grown steadily, now delivering support across Alberta, British Columbia, and Ontario through more than 90 contracts.
Our 900-plus employee-owners live by five shared values: we are stronger together, we lead with optimism, we embrace challenges, we respect every voice, and we go above and beyond. Guided by these principles, we deliver more than 125 community-based services each year. We walk alongside about 1,600 children, youth, families, and people with diverse abilities, with revenues exceeding $70 million.
Our Support Office provides the systems, data and services that help our programs do their best work. As we grow, we are looking for a Director of Information Technology to lead our technology strategy, information systems and IT operations.
The Position
Help shape how technology powers a growing, employee-owned organization. As our Director of Information Technology, you’ll report to the Chief Operating Officer and work alongside senior leaders across three provinces to make our technology secure, connected and easy to use. You’ll lead the work that matters most: bringing case management onto one system, connecting our systems and data, building reporting leaders can rely on, strengthening SharePoint and digital records, and helping Taproot adopt AI thoughtfully and responsibly. You’ll lead a team of system administrators and a data analyst, partner with external IT providers, and see your work make a real difference for our staff and the people we serve.
