Roles and Responsibility
Role Summary
Serve as a subject matter expert for wireless packet core platforms across 5G, LTE, and 3G
technologies. Support design, integration, validation, operations, troubleshooting, performance
analysis, network automation, and technology introduction across packet core, IP, and access network
environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the preparation and execution of design, instantiation, integration, and validation activities,
including HLD, LLD, IP Flow, MOP, TOL, and ATP documentation.
- Support implementation and testing for wireless packet core platforms.
- Operate, maintain, and perform daily checks of packet core nodes; troubleshoot, resolve, and
escalate issues affecting packet core and packet data services.
- Use cloud and virtualization tools to automate workflows, manage CNF/VNF platform lifecycles,
troubleshoot issues, validate integrations, perform end-to-end testing, and report KPIs.
- Serve as the top-tier technical resource for fault identification, isolation, analysis, and resolution
across IP and access network technology platforms.
- Perform in-depth performance and fault analysis, and recommend resolution approaches including
situation analysis, testing strategies, and fault reproduction.
- Configure, manage, and maintain IP and access network elements and technology platforms.
- Support change-control activities including impact analysis, method-of-procedure review,
implementation, and verification.
- Maintain network design and support documentation.
- Design and implement automation across Network Operations using in-house and open-source
development tools.
- Implement and review network tools and scripts, and identify automation opportunities through
data-driven analysis.
- Ensure the seamless introduction of new technology platforms and services into Enterprise Network
Operations.
- Communicate with engineering regarding identified logical and physical network design issues.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
- Degree or diploma in Networking or Technology.
- Demonstrated experience working in a service provider environment.
- Experience with routers, switches, firewalls, routing, subnetting, and network protocols.
- In-depth understanding of TCP/IP and IP packet routing, including OSPF, IS-IS, BGP, EIGRP, MPLS,
MPLS VPN, and multicast technologies
- Experience with Nokia (ALU) Service Router 7750 SR and 7210 SAS platforms and services,
Timo's/SR OS, and 5620 NSP/CPAM software.
- Experience with Nokia 7360 XGS-PON and 5520 AMS, or another vendor OLT solution.
- In-depth knowledge of security and DDoS mitigation systems.
- Ability to take ownership of and coordinate the resolution of network-related problems.
- Advanced analytical and methodical troubleshooting skills.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively in an organized and methodical team environment.
- Capabilities in innovation, creative thinking, problem-solving, judgment, achievement orientation,
active listening, understanding, and response.
Salary Range - CA$ 100,000 - CA$ 120,000 Per Year
