Experience Range:

Significant experience leading testing for large, complex enterprise technology or infrastructure programs.

Demonstrated ownership of end-to-end test strategy, governance, planning and reporting across multiple workstreams.

Experience coordinating internal teams, business stakeholders and third-party implementation partners.

Recommended Operating Model

Position the role as a program Test Manager reporting to the Program Manager, with a strong working relationship to the Technical Delivery Lead. The Test Manager should lead an integrated test function made up of workstream test leads, internal SMEs, business representatives and vendor testing resources.

For NMP, dedicated test leadership should be assigned at minimum across SASE and end-user connectivity, campus and SD-WAN, and enterprise perimeter and infrastructure. The central Test Manager owns integration, governance, consistency, evidence and programme-level readiness decisions

Roles & Responsibilities

Position Summary

The NMP Test Manager is accountable for governing and coordinating the end-to-end testing strategy across the Network Modernization Program, including SASE, campus networking, enterprise perimeter services, Equinix colocation infrastructure, identity integrations, end-user experience, operational readiness and production migration assurance.

The role provides a single point of accountability for test planning, execution oversight, quality reporting and evidence-based go/no-go recommendations. It coordinates internal technology teams, business stakeholders and implementation partners to confirm that solutions are technically sound, operationally supportable and ready for controlled production deployment.

Role outcome: A consistent, traceable and risk-based test approach that supports confident pilot, migration and production decisions across NMP.

Key Responsibilities

Test Strategy and Governance

Help in development and execution of integrated NMP Test Strategy and supporting standards.

Define test phases, scope, ownership, entry and exit criteria, evidence requirements and quality gates.

Establish traceability across requirements, solution designs, risks, test cases, defects and acceptance criteria.

Align workstream and vendor test plans to the overall program strategy and delivery schedule.

Chair test governance, readiness reviews and quality checkpoints.

Test Planning and Coordination

Create and maintain an integrated test plan covering engineering validation, system integration, security, performance, resilience, pilot, user acceptance, operational readiness, cutover, rollback and production verification.

Coordinate test environments, data, tools, access, resources and dependencies across technology teams and delivery partners.

Confirm that test scenarios address normal operations, failure conditions, interdependencies, migration risks and rollback paths.

Manage the testing calendar in alignment with build, pilot, migration and change windows with the other phases of the NMP program and also the other transformational programs like ARM, DR and Identity.

Technology and Service Validation

Coordinate validation across Prisma Access and remote access, campus wired and wireless services, SD-WAN, Cloudflare perimeter capabilities, Equinix connectivity and supporting monitoring services.

Ensure authentication, identity, endpoint and end-user workflows are tested across pre-login, post-login, corporate, remote and guest use cases.

Validate availability, resiliency, failover, performance, security controls, observability, supportability and disaster recovery requirements.

Ensure integrations between network, security, cloud, end-user and operational platforms are tested end to end.

Pilot, Migration and Cutover Assurance

Define measurable pilot objectives, success criteria and evidence requirements.

Validate deployment runbooks, migration procedures, communications, support plans, rollback procedures and production verification steps.

Lead readiness assessments for pilots, site migrations, application onboarding and production cutovers.

Provide consolidated test evidence and formal go/no-go recommendations to programme governance and change approval forums.

Defect, Risk and Issue Management

Own the programme defect management process, including severity definitions, triage, assignment, ageing, retesting and closure evidence.

Maintain visibility of quality risks, unresolved defects, test constraints and residual risk.

Escalate material quality or readiness concerns with clear impact, options and recommendations.

Ensure critical defects and failed acceptance criteria are resolved or formally accepted before deployment.

Reporting and Stakeholder Management

Produce concise executive reporting on test progress, coverage, defects, readiness, risks and decisions required.

Present test status and recommendations to workstream, programme leadership, steering and change governance forums.

Coordinate internal SMEs, business representatives, application owners, operations teams and vendor test resources.

Ensure test evidence and decisions are stored in an auditable programme repository.
