Sr. Accounting / IFRS17 Analyst

Job Description

Key Responsibilities & Skills

• Interpret, implement, and maintain IFRS 17 accounting policies, including:
• Contractual Service Margin (CSM) calculation
• Risk Adjustment (RA)
• Variable Fee Approach (VFA)
• General Measurement Model (GMM)
• Premium Allocation Approach (PAA)
• Ensure compliance with IFRS 17 reporting requirements.
• Collaborate with IT and Actuarial teams to validate data inputs and outputs within the IFRS 17 engine.
• Prepare detailed financial analysis, variance analysis, and reporting for management, auditors, and internal stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of data reconciliation and processing.
• Proven experience or strong knowledge of IFRS 17 standards and insurance accounting.
• Advanced MS Excel skills.
• Experience with ERP systems and specialized IFRS 17 reporting and accounting.

Good to Have

• Actuarial knowledge.

Salary Range - CA$ 90,000 - CA$ 110,000 Per Year
