Technical Service Delivery Manager (Network Delivery Lead)
Role Overview
The Service Delivery Manager (SDM) leads the end-to-end delivery of the Network Infrastructure Refresh Program, spanning planning, governance, engineering oversight, customer engagement, continuous improvement, and automation. Unlike a traditional delivery role, this position requires strong hands-on networking expertise. The SDM must be able to perform L3 engineering activities, review technical designs, provide escalation support, and participate in major cutovers when required. The role also owns annual productivity-improvement targets and is accountable for demonstrating measurable operational savings through automation and process optimization. This approach supports the program’s need for managed-service discipline, strong L2/L3 capability, and continuous improvement.
Core Responsibilities
Service Delivery and Governance
- Own overall service delivery and program execution from planning through completion.
- Manage customer relationships and deliver clear, timely executive communications.
- Lead operational reviews, service reviews, and governance meetings.
- Manage delivery risks, issues, escalations, dependencies, and resource planning.
- Ensure compliance with change-management and operational processes.
- Track and report KPIs, SLAs, refresh throughput, delivery quality, and service performance.
Technical Leadership
- Review and approve migration strategies, switch-refresh plans, and implementation approaches.
- Review network architecture and detailed engineering designs for technical quality and operational readiness.
- Validate implementation plans, methods of procedure (MOPs), testing steps, and rollback procedures.
- Participate in major-incident and outage bridges, providing decisive technical leadership.
- Provide L3 troubleshooting and escalation support for complex network issues.
- Support critical maintenance windows, cutovers, and refresh activities as required.
Automation and Continuous Improvement
- Develop and maintain an annual automation and continuous-improvement plan.
- Identify opportunities to eliminate manual effort, reduce cycle time, and improve delivery quality.
- Sponsor and govern engineering-led automation initiatives from concept through adoption.
- Standardize deployment, migration, validation, and reporting processes.
- Measure effort savings, cost avoidance, risk reduction, and operational improvements.
- Present annual value-realization results and improvement outcomes to stakeholders.

Salary Range - CA$ 100,000 - CA$ 120,000 Per Year
