Original job description

What We’re Looking For:

As a Content Creator at TBWA\Canada, you’ll bring a Swiss Army knife of creative skills to your role. Reporting to a Content Lead, our Content Creators are part of a specialized group within the agency's creative discipline.

You’ll conceptualize and craft content for social media and digital platforms, focusing on short-form video content, photography, AI outputs, and more. While producing content, you’ll ensure that brand and culture are at the core of every concept, implementing social-first practices throughout the entire process. Beyond always-on content, you'll think beyond owned channels and collaborate with wider teams on larger campaign initiatives.

What You’ll Do:

Develop ideas and express them creatively through different owned channels (social media such as TikTok, Meta, YouTube, etc.)
Keep your finger on the pulse of culture and news, to gain inspiration and inform real-time conceptual ideas.
Produce and execute high-quality content, collaborating with members of the content team and greater creative team when necessary.
Ensure brand tone and voice are being expressed across all content outputs.
Develop content within reactive workstreams with 24hr turnaround timelines.
Develop content within always-on content cycles.
Develop content ideas that are extensions of 360 campaigns.

What You Bring:

Degree in communications, advertising, production or related fields.
5+ years of experience in a comparable role in an agency (or equivalent), which includes content creator at the core of responsibilities.
Strong video editing skills, with the ability to take raw footage and transform it into polished, engaging, social-first content.
Bilingualism (English/French) is considered an asset, but is not required.
Strong knowledge of social media, with constant ongoing monitoring on developments across all platforms.
Keeps current with visual trends and constructs within culture (social media, advertising, movies/television, design, fashion, etc.)
Production generalist with a strong proficiency in post-production.
Videography and photography are necessary.
Strong knowledge of the Adobe suite and in-platform editing tools.
Proficiency with AI production tools is considered an asset.

Who We Are:

TBWA is The Disruption® Company, a global agency collective of 10,000+ creative minds operating in over 80 countries. Named one of the World's Most Innovative Companies by Fast Company four years in a row, we are a disruptive brand experience company that uses creativity to help businesses acquire a greater share of the future.

We believe in doing the brave thing.

Doing the brave thing is about courage. It’s about never being a spectator. Speaking up with clarity and conviction and kindness. Not hedging our points-of-view with clients or each other. Saying what we think when it’s in the best interest of the idea or the people, even if it’s uncomfortable. Being willing to take smart risks. Making tough decisions without agonizing. And, being transparent and vulnerable in search of the best. This is the expectation for all of us. In turn, we commit to perpetuating a culture where bravery is rewarded and support is always within reach.

TBWA\Canada develops strategies, advertising, and brand experiences for some of the world's most iconic brands, with offices in Toronto, Edmonton and Montreal.

The Company:

At TBWA\Canada, Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEIB) are our core values. We are committed to a diverse workforce and aim to maintain an inclusive and equitable workplace where employees feel valued, respected, and supported. We welcome applicants from all backgrounds and lived experiences. If you require an accommodation during the recruitment process, please contact our Human Resources team and we would be happy to work with you to meet your needs.

The salary range for this position is $65,000 - $75,000 per year. Compensation will be determined based on qualifications, relevant experience, and internal equity.

This posting represents an active vacancy that we are currently hiring for.

AI Use:

TBWA\Canada uses artificial intelligence (AI) tools to support parts of our hiring process, such as enhancing job postings and analyzing resumes. These tools assist our recruitment team but will never replace the human judgement that guides our hiring decisions. We will only contact shortlisted candidates for this role.

Notice: Online Hiring Scams

Please be aware that individuals not associated with TBWA\Canada and/or Omnicom Advertising Group have fraudulently used our name and branding to solicit applications for fake jobs, to conduct fake job interviews, and/or to make fake job offers.

TBWA\Canada / Omnicom Advertising Group will never contact you from a personal email account (@gmail.com, @hotmail.com, etc.) nor ask for money in exchange for recruitment services such as background screenings, equipment costs, etc. No financial information will be requested for recruitment purposes (bank account, credit card details, etc.). Interviewers will not ask for confidential or personal information (driver’s license or passport, a social insurance number or a social security number, credit card, or banking information). Interviews are conducted in person or via web conferencing (Zoom or Microsoft Teams only), not through text or messaging apps (WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger, FaceTime, SMS, etc.).

If you have provided personal information in connection with a fake job offer or interview and you are concerned, we suggest you take appropriate action and contact local law enforcement in your area, and contact our local Human Resources team.
