The opportunity
Indigenous Relations requires dependable analytical and program-support capacity to connect source information, business owners and leadership decision-making. In this role, you will help maintain reporting discipline, engagement and commitment information, project forecasts, Indigenous engagement programs and technology-enabled workflows.
You will work with Indigenous Relations, Government Relations, Project Delivery, Hire & Buy Local, Governance and Planning, project and cost teams, and other internal partners. The role is suited to someone who can turn detailed operational information into clear reporting, coordinate work across teams and sustain processes after implementation.
What you'll do
- Coordinate Indigenous Relations leadership reporting cycles, review dashboards, identify red or at-risk items, obtain explanations and updates from accountable leaders, and consolidate material for business improvement discussions.
- Support commitment and compliance tracking through record coordination, owner follow-up, reporting inputs, user guidance and process adoption.
- Provide Dynamics engagement record searches and compile engagement reports if requested by Indigenous Relations Leadership.
- Administer Monday.com access and business data; maintain community, project and commitment information; support dashboards; resolve user issues; and assist with tool guidance and training.
- Collect and consolidate Indigenous Relations related forecasts for capital projects and provide coordinated inputs to project and cost teams.
- Coordinate Indigenous Leaders Meetings, Indigenous Leadership Sessions and other community forums, including content inputs, schedules, participant requirements, reimbursement processes and delivery logistics.
- Coordinate Canada Gas operating committee and other cross-functional reporting, including contributor follow-up, quality control, version management, approval routing and final publication.
- Support process documentation, implementation planning, testing, training, change adoption and ongoing administration for new Indigenous Relations processes and technology initiatives.
- Coordinate structured onboarding, access, systems orientation and process training for new team members, and support recruitment workflows when business capacity is constrained.
- Provide administrative and operational support for Vancouver-based and project teams, including office, event and meeting coordination, record keeping and project forecasting activities, as required.
- Complete other related duties as required.
Minimum qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business, analytics, computer science, engineering or a related area, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
Preferred qualifications
- Relevant experience in business analysis, program coordination, reporting, process improvement, technology enablement or a related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to review detailed information, identify risks or gaps, and translate findings into appropriate action.
- Strong facilitation, collaboration, negotiation, stakeholder-management and project-coordination skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to consolidate information and prepare material for leadership audiences.
- Experience gathering business needs, documenting processes or requirements, and supporting implementation, testing, training and adoption.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage multiple concurrent priorities and meet deadlines in demanding or ambiguous circumstances.
- Ability to build and maintain positive working relationships and handle sensitive or challenging situations professionally.
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications and experience working with business systems, data, dashboards or workflow tools.
- Project management, change management or Scrum certification, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience supporting Indigenous Relations, regulatory, consultation, community engagement, commitment-management or compliance-related processes.
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics, Monday.com, Power BI, Power Automate, SharePoint or comparable reporting and workflow platforms.
- Experience with project forecasting, financial coordination, data governance, dashboarding or continuous improvement.
