  • Provide field‑based operational troubleshooting support for new and ongoing issues, including site visits and collaboration with senior reliability specialists and engineers.
  • Analyze operational and engineering data to identify underperforming assets, systemic issues, and opportunities to improve equipment reliability and maintenance practices.
  • Facilitate operational decision-making risk assessments for compression facilities.
  • Support the development and execution of treatment plans focused on reducing asset‑level and system‑wide risk.
  • Conduct alternatives analysis and provide technical scoping recommendations, along with operational support for capital and expense projects, to ensure risks and proposed solutions within annual programs are effectively mitigated.
  • Drive Management of Change (MOC) development and implementation, including contributing to engineering design activities under appropriate technical oversight.
  • Assist in the development, review, and updating of TC Energy maintenance and operating procedures.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, or Civil Engineering from an accredited institution.
  • 5-10 years of progressive relevant technical engineering experience.
  • Registered with OIQ, Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec, as a Professional Engineer (P. Eng.) in good standing.
  • Fluent in both French and English, written and spoken.
  • Demonstrated ability to initiate change and help others adapt to a continuously changing work environment.
  • Proven ability to drive short-term and long-term technical solutions to complex and ambiguous problems.
  • Experienced with engineering principles, codes, and standards to identify issues and recommend improvements.
  • Ability to recognize and adapt to changing business priorities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Multidisciplinary engineering exposure and experience.
  • Troubleshooting skills, including familiarity with all aspects of facility operation.
  • Failure investigation and root cause determination and interpretation of damage mechanisms.
  • Familiarity with norms and standards related to equipment reliability, safety, and risk management.
  • Time management skills and ability to work independently, including at field locations.
  • Previous maintenance process and system development experience.

This position requires candidates to:

  • Have and maintain a valid driver's license and provide a driver's abstract (record) for review.
