We are looking for an experienced Press Operator to efficiently operate our 400 printing press.

This position is currently open to support organizational growth

Responsibilities

When your actions lead to success:

• Efficiently set up and operate the 400 printing press
• Maintain quality during production- ensure quality standards are communicated and understood by crew
• Uses available working time effectively, plans and prioritizes work, sets and accomplishes goals, uses available resources and completes work on schedule
• Minimize waste
• Complete the following: standard press time sheets, accurate counts, M/R Checklist, preventative maintenance and 5S tasks ,checklists, inventory and usage reports
• Participate in meetings (user groups, communications, crew meetings)
• Perform autonomous maintenance on press, complete work requests as necessary
• Support the Team Leader to provide coaching and leadership to press crew
• Adhere to 5S workplace organization standards
• Adhere to and promotes safety policies and procedures (SWP’s)

Qualifications

When your expertise drives us:

• 5+ years’ experience in increasingly responsible roles within the printing industry
• Adapt to changing requirements and maintain flexibility
• Certified Rollstand Operator 
• Completion of High School Diploma
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
• Previous experience in Press Operator position
• Knowledge of printing techniques standards, processes, products and equipment
• Excellent analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Must be a team player and focused on safety and quality
• Must be able to work 12 hour shifts, rotating from dayshift to nightshift.
