JOB DESCRIPTION

The data analytic and insights intern will support one of the following areas of the department: GIAC Insights, Revenue Insights, Claims Insights, Fraud, or Governance and regulatory) to

Support Analytics Zone (AZ) users with data governance and data management activities, including metadata management, data onboarding, documentation, and compliance-related proceIdentify opportunities to improve and automate data management processes and support the implementation of innovative solutions that enhance efficiency and user experience.
Analyze and monitor operational performance metrics, identify trends, and provide actionable insights to support business decision making.
Develop and maintain analytical datasets and databases by transforming and enhancing existing data sources to support reporting and business insights.
Design, develop, and maintain dashboards and reporting solutions to track key performance indicators and business outcomes

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Currently enrolled in an undergraduate degree in Mathematics, Business Insights, Statistic, Analytics, Data, Business/Commerce or related field
Must be enrolled in an undergraduate degree with the intent of going back to school at the start of your work term
Coding skills and knowledge of program language such as SQL, python, and/or visualization tools Posit, and Power BI
Strong analytical, critical reasoning and problem-solving skills
Comfortable making decisions in ambiguous circumstances
Can perform effectively both independently and in a collaborative team environment
Must thrive in fast paced environment and be comfortable with constant deadlines

This position is a 4-month work term and will commence January 4th – April 23th, 2027.
