Job Description:
Role Summary
Plans, manages, and delivers Finance transformation projects that modernize Finance processes, reporting, controls, data, operating models, and technology. Combines disciplined project delivery with practical Finance and Accounting knowledge to understand business requirements, coordinate cross-functional teams, and support successful implementation and adoption. May manage multiple medium to large projects with moderate to high complexity and risk.
Accountabilities
Apply Finance and Accounting knowledge to understand business requirements, challenge assumptions, and support solutions that are practical, controlled, and aligned with Finance objectives.
Deliver projects involving areas such as controllership, financial planning and analysis, financial reporting, accounting operations, financial audit, risk, process improvement, or technology-enabled Finance change.
Build and maintain integrated project plans, schedules, milestones, budgets, resource plans, and implementation roadmaps.
Communicate project status, risks, issues, interdependencies, and key decisions to stakeholders and senior leaders.
Coordinate cross-functional teams that may include Finance subject matter experts, Business Analysts, Technology, Data, Risk, Operations, Change Management, and external partners.
Manage project financials, including forecasting, budget tracking, reporting, and variance management.
Support implementation readiness, stakeholder engagement, adoption, controls, and benefit realization.
Apply enterprise project delivery methods, governance requirements, controls, and best practices throughout the project lifecycle.
Job Requirements
5 to 7 years of progressive experience delivering Finance, Accounting, business transformation, technology, regulatory, or process improvement projects.
Sound Finance and Accounting acumen, with knowledge or experience in areas such as controllership, financial planning and analysis, financial reporting, accounting operations, financial audit, or risk.
Strong knowledge of project delivery principles, methodologies, governance, controls, and implementation practices.
Experience managing project budgets, forecasts, resources, risks, issues, and interdependencies.
Strong stakeholder management, influencing, negotiation, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Experience supporting audits, risk or regulatory requirements, governance reviews, and third-party delivery is an asset.
Education / Accreditation
University degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. A degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Commerce, or a related field is an asset.
Work activities include a blend of highly collaborative activities and individual deliverables. Individuals are expected to be onsite 4 days a week. Colleagues may spend more or less days in office as required by the business line.
