  • Valuation and fair value: Support Independent Price Verification (IPV), Valuation Adjustments (VA), and complete fair value reporting for financial instruments in accordance with applicable policies.
  • Control and exception management: Identify, document and resolve non-standard process, reporting and control issues; escalate high-risk or unresolved matters promptly.
  • Stakeholder engagement: Provide effective challenge and guidance to Front Office and partner with Market Risk, Finance, Valuation Control, Operations and Technology.
  • Subject-matter expertise: Act as an SME for initiatives affecting P&L, attribution and balance sheet reporting, including business restructuring, product change and system or process implementation.
  • Risk and governance: Operate within the Bank’s risk appetite and enterprise frameworks, maintaining strong financial controls, segregation of duties and confidentiality.
  • Process improvement: Assess service, productivity and control effectiveness; recommend and execute improvements, standardization and automation opportunities.

  • Ability to communicate conclusions and business context clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to work end to end under broad policies with minimal supervision and to serve as an escalation point or knowledge resource for others.
  • Working proficiency with reporting and data tools relevant to the desk environment; strong spreadsheet and data-analysis capability is expected.
