Job Description:

Department Overview

The Enterprise Payments organization is evolving to drive thought leadership and oversight for payments across the enterprise. This is a dynamic and critical capability center for TDBG, undergoing significant transformation! The mandate of the team includes Payment's strategy and innovation, platforms and capabilities, business management and governance, and industry advocacy. The team is looking to drive efficient and effective transformation, differentiated value propositions including strategic partnerships, exceptional customer experiences, leveraging rich payments data and ensuring robust risk management. The team is cultivating payments expertise, through global analysis, industry connections, organizational know-how and executing as a collaborative partner to lines of business and technology groups across the bank. Our mandate spans from retail to small business, to large corporations both domestically and globally, as a key pillar of the TDBG strategy.

The Emerging Payments Team is responsible for developing and maintaining the near-term strategy and execution roadmaps for Payments, with a focus on initiatives that create business value while continuing to build towards our Payments target state vision. With an enterprise-wide focus, the team is charged with ownership of Real Time Payments (RTR) and associated capabilities that can be leveraged across multiple lines of business, products and features. Key stakeholders for this team include our line of business partners, Digital, CTS, Marketing, Fraud, GAML and Risk, along with oversight of several vendor relationships.

Job Description:

TD's Enterprise payments team is looking to hire a Product Manager, who will be the key business decision maker and custodian of end-to-end business operations for Canadian Real time Rails product.

Reporting to the AVP, Emerging Payments, the successful candidate will be expected to

· "Get Things Done" despite headwinds and the management of multiple projects simultaneously, is critical to role success.

· Be a go to person to define, recommend change and document end to end day 2 operations manual for TD's Real time Rails Product.

· In alignment with the product vision, manage delivery initiatives and oversee development team (pod) backlogs related to day 2 requirements.

· Generate new ideas and developing business cases in conjunction with internal business stakeholders.

· Work closely with technology and risk functions during product design and testing

· Provide thought leadership and/ or industry knowledge for own area of expertise in own area and participate in knowledge transfer within the team and business unit

· Communicate difficult concepts; converts information to compelling business context and advice; influences and gains alignment across increasingly senior stakeholders

· Work autonomously as the lead and guide others within area of expertise

· Act as a brand ambassador for your business area/function and the bank, both internally and/or externally

Job Requirements

Undergraduate degree or product management certificate, and / or
Seven (7) or more years relevant experience
Three (3) or more years Product Owner or Agile related delivery experience
Previous product experience typically required
Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) certification and project management experience considered an asset
Thorough understanding of Canadian money movement capabilities and eco-system, and thought leadership required to understand the ever-changing online money movement and payments landscape.
Knowledge of competitor and market trends
Ability to analyze, organize and prioritize work while meeting multiple deadlines
Skill in preparing and managing budgets
Skill in using analytical software tools, MS Office, data analysis methods and reporting techniques
Ability to work collaboratively, communicate effectively (both speaking and writing), provide direction and build relationships across teams and functions
