Department Overview
Corporate Lending Operations (CLO) supports lending and administrative activities for TD Securities corporate clients. The team partners across the business to deliver accurate processing, strong risk management, operational excellence, and a consistent client and stakeholder experience.
Corporate Lending Operations supports a broad range of functions including Loan Administration, Agency Administration, Loan Sales & Trading, Loan Documentation, CAIRO Administration, and Corporate Lending Operations Administration.
Position Summary
Reporting to the Group Manager, Corporate Lending Operations Administration, the Operations Analyst II is responsible for performing loan administration, payment processing, reconciliation, account monitoring, and operational control activities that support corporate lending operations. The role contributes to a strong risk and control environment through accurate execution of established processes, effective issue resolution, and collaboration with business partners.
Key Accountabilities
- Process loan administration, payment, settlement, and cash management activities supporting corporate lending transactions.
- Monitor and process transactions in Loan IQ and related operational systems, including loan fundings, repayments, fees, transfers, and account settlements.
- Complete funds verification and payment processing activities in accordance with established procedures and controls.
- Investigate and resolve routine payment issues, transaction breaks, cash differences, and operational exceptions.
- Perform daily reconciliations, account balancing, and control activities to ensure accurate operational records.
- Monitor operational reports and exception queues, escalating issues as required.
- Complete required controls, approvals, reviews, certifications, and supporting documentation within established timelines.
- Maintain accurate records of transaction processing, investigations, reconciliations, and issue resolution activities.
- Act as a point of contact for operational inquiries and stakeholder support.
- Partner with internal teams including Finance, Treasury, Payments, Technology, and Loan Administration to support day-to-day operations.
- Identify process improvement opportunities and escalate control concerns or operational risks.
- Support audits through the preparation of documentation and evidence.
- Participate in operational readiness activities, and process improvement initiatives.
- Provide cross-training support and operational coverage across Corporate Lending Operations functions as required.
- Demonstrate accountability, collaboration, sound judgment, and adherence to risk and control standards.
Qualifications / Skills / Experience
- 1-3 years of experience in Corporate Lending Operations, Loan Administration, Payments, Treasury Operations, Cash Management, Commercial Banking Operations, or a related financial services environment.
- Experience processing payments, settlements, account activity, reconciliations, or loan administration transactions.
- Understanding of operational controls, risk management principles, and escalation processes.
- Ability to investigate issues, identify discrepancies, and coordinate resolution with appropriate stakeholders.
- Working knowledge of Loan IQ or comparable operational systems is considered an asset.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other productivity tools.
- Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting service and control standards.
- Willingness to learn multiple Corporate Lending Operations processes and provide cross-functional support.
Education
- University or college degree, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience.
- Education in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline is considered an asset.
