We are currently hiring a Java Technical Lead - Investment Banking for our global consulting client. This role can either be a permanent role or a long term freelance/C2C contract.

Salary Range: $100,000 - $105,000 + 9% bonus +6% RRSP matching, full health benefits from day 1, 4-5 weeks of paid vacation + many other perks
Rate Range if Contractor: $100-$110/hr C2C(freelance)
RESPONSIBILITIES
Act as the key interface between Paris and AMER teams to ensure alignment between global technology strategy and regional business needs.
Lead the design, development, and delivery of Java-based applications and services.
Provide technical leadership, guidance, and mentorship to development teams.
Ensure adherence to development best practices, coding standards, and architectural principles.
Drive application architecture decisions, performance optimization initiatives, and scalability improvements.
Collaborate with business stakeholders, architects, and project managers to translate business requirements into effective technical solutions.
Coordinate cross-regional development activities and facilitate communication among stakeholders.
Oversee code reviews, testing strategies, and production support activities.
Ensure the delivery of secure, high-quality, and maintainable software solutions.
Promote innovation, continuous improvement, and team development.
REQUIREMENTS
Mandatory
Strong experience with Java development.
Experience with Spring Boot and Spring Framework.
Experience designing and developing REST APIs and Microservices.
Strong knowledge of SQL.
Experience with Oracle and/or PostgreSQL databases.
Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins and GitLab CI.
Proficiency with Git and version control practices.
Experience leading development teams and driving technical decisions.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Nice to Have
Experience with Microsoft Azure.
Application support and production support knowledge.
Experience working within global or cross-regional teams.
Bilingual (English and French)
