Senior Business Analyst
We are looking for a Senior Business Analyst with 10+ years of experience in business analysis, system analysis, requirements management, data analysis, and stakeholder engagement. The ideal candidate will have strong experience working on public-sector healthcare and complex I&IT projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead business analysis activities to assess business problems, opportunities, and technology needs.
- Gather, analyze, validate, and document business and functional requirements and translate them into technical requirements.
- Perform system analysis, business/process modeling, use-case modeling, data-flow modeling, and data analysis.
- Conduct data discovery and profiling to identify trends, root causes, data quality issues, and business improvement opportunities.
- Conduct gap, impact, feasibility, and cost-benefit analysis for projects, system upgrades, and enhancements.
- Analyze production issues, review logs, develop queries/scripts, and recommend solutions to minimize business impact.
- Lead stakeholder and SME working groups and collaborate with technical teams, vendors, and business users.
- Develop business cases, processes, procedures, standards, and project documentation.
- Support requirements and analysis activities throughout the full project lifecycle.
- Monitor issues and project progress and communicate recommendations to management and decision-makers.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in Business Analysis, including leading complex IT initiatives.
- Strong system analysis and system design experience.
- Proven experience with data discovery, profiling, complex datasets, and data quality analysis.
- Strong experience in requirements gathering, business modeling, process analysis, and impact/gap analysis.
- Experience supporting production environments, troubleshooting data issues, and analyzing system changes.
- Strong knowledge of MS Office and awareness of emerging IT technologies.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, presentation, facilitation, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Strong leadership, consulting, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities.
Public Sector / Healthcare Experience
- 5+ years of experience working with federal, provincial, or broader public-sector healthcare providers.
- Experience with public-sector health-related IT projects and large, complex healthcare initiatives.
- Knowledge of public-sector Enterprise Architecture, I&IT project management, Architecture and Gating processes, and systems development methodologies.
- Understanding of Ministry policies, IT project approval processes, and governance requirements.
- Experience with dispensed drug data and/or immunization data is an asset.
- Experience with cloud technologies and Salesforce is an asset.
