Original job description

Techo-Bloc is a North American manufacturer and distributor with 9 production facilities and 15 distribution centers. We design and deliver hardscape products with a strong focus on quality, innovation, and operational excellence. We are a growing organization of 900+ employees built on accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement. Our environment is fast-paced, structured, and focused on execution. We value people who take ownership, solve problems, and contribute to making processes better every day.

Job Description

🚛Did you know that Techo-Bloc has its own private transport fleet?🚛

This is your chance to work in a unique environment, wearing the hat of both carrier and shipper!

As part of our Transportation team, you’ll keep our fleet running smoothly and help it improve. You’ll analyze performance, improve our systems, and help dispatchers get the most out of the tools they use every day. If you like solving problems, working with data and making operations run better, this role is for you.

Reporting to the Transportation Systems Supervisor you’ll work closely with dispatch, customer service, operations and our suppliers. What you’ll do:

Be the go-to partner: build strong relationships with our suppliers and internal teams, and keep our transportation operations running smoothly every day;
Be the expert people count on: answer internal transportation needs quickly, whether it’s pricing, delivery options, capacity or availability;
Find better ways of working: spot opportunities to optimize our processes, raise service levels and make smart, cost-effective decisions;
Turn data into decisions: build and track the KPIs that matter, uncover trends and share insights that shape how our fleet operates;
Make change happen: take an active role in continuous improvement by identifying challenges, proposing practical solutions and working with cross-functional teams to bring them to life;
Empower our dispatchers: train and coach them on our transportation systems and tools, helping them build confidence, adopt best practices and get the most out of technology;
Shape our transportation systems: lead enhancements from start to finish by designing solutions, coordinating testing and documenting improvements with cross-functional teams;
Lend a hand where it counts: support any other initiatives that help our operations improve.

Qualifications

What you bring:

At least 1 year of relevant experience;
A natural problem-solver with a positive attitude and a sharp eye for detail;
The ability to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while staying accurate and organized;
Excellent French and English, both spoken and written (English is required to serve our customers in the U.S.);
Good knowledge of Excel (required).

What would make you stand out:

Studies in transportation and logistics;
Experience with Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations;
Familiarity with Rose Rocket and/or Motive;
Curiosity for AI tools like Claude and Copilot, and an interest in using them to work smarter.

Additional Information

Why Techo-Bloc?

Few companies in our industry run their own fleet. With over 80 trucks on the road across Canada and the U.S., you’ll have a real say in how our fleet grows, and your ideas will show up on the road.

At Techo-Bloc, we believe career plans shouldn’t be set in stone, they should be set in motion. Joining us means:

Career paths: clear advancement opportunities in almost every department, and support for internal transfers;
Mentorship: weekly one-on-ones with your leader to talk about challenges, celebrate wins and get advice;
Perks and benefits: insurance plans, bonus plans, an RRSP with employer contribution, discounts on Techo-Bloc products, an Employee Assistance Program and telemedicine available 24/7, a referral program and fun events;
A recognized employer: we’re proud winners of Canada’s Best Managed Companies award.

We thank all applicants for their interest; however, only those whose applications are considered will be contacted.
