Original job description

Company Description

Techo-Bloc is a North American manufacturer and distributor of premium hardscape products, with 9 production facilities and 15 distribution centers. With 900+ employees, we design products that transform outdoor spaces, from backyards and patios to poolsides and large-scale landscape projects.

We’re looking for a Social Media Content Specialist who knows how to turn great stories and ideas into content people actually want to watch, share, save, and engage with.

As Social Media Content Specialist, you’ll bring Techo-Bloc’s brand narratives to life across our social platforms. You’ll create and publish content, manage our social communities, collaborate with creators and influencers, cover events and launches, and continuously test new ways to make our content perform.

You understand what makes someone stop scrolling. You can look at a finished backyard, a new product collection, a trend, an event, or a project on a job site and identify the hook, visual, and format that will make the story resonate.

This is a hands-on content role. We’re looking for someone who enjoys making content as much as coming up with the idea behind it, and who can move quickly from concept to execution.

At Techo-Bloc, we’re career builders. This is an opportunity to grow your creative capabilities alongside a brand that’s raising its ambitions and constantly looking for new ways to connect with its audiences.

Job Description

Content Creation & Publishing

Build and maintain the social media content calendar based on brand narratives, campaigns, launches, and priorities.
Create, write, edit, and publish platform-specific content, including Reels, Stories, carousels, short-form videos, and social posts.
Select the right visuals, footage, copy, hooks, and formats for different audiences, including homeowners, contractors, landscape architects, designers, and dealers.
Transform photo shoots, video productions, projects, launches, and events into multiple pieces of social content.
Develop new content ideas, angles, and formats that align with the Techo-Bloc brand.
Use AI tools for research, ideation, writing, content adaptation, and performance analysis.

Social Media & Community Management

Manage Techo-Bloc’s social platforms day to day, including scheduling, publishing, monitoring, and community engagement.
Respond to comments and messages and help build an engaged community around the brand.
Stay connected to emerging social trends, formats, sounds, and conversations within design, architecture, landscaping, outdoor living, and lifestyle.
Experiment with hooks, visuals, captions, formats, and calls to action to understand what resonates with our audiences.
Identify sensitive comments or customer questions and collaborate with the appropriate internal teams when needed.

Creators & Influencers

Identify creators, designers, influencers, and potential collaborators who align with Techo-Bloc’s brand and audiences.
Develop clear creative briefs outlining the story, angle, key messages, and expected deliverables.
Coordinate creator timelines, logistics, invitations, and content deliverables.
Organize creator-generated content and identify opportunities to adapt and repurpose it across Techo-Bloc’s social channels.

Events, Launches & Brand Activations

Create social content around product launches, trade shows, events, shoots, and brand activations.
Capture and coordinate live, behind-the-scenes, and real-time social content.
Work with internal teams, partners, and participants to coordinate content needs and follow-ups.
Identify potential collaborations and content opportunities that can extend Techo-Bloc’s reach.

Performance & Optimization

Monitor social performance across key metrics including reach, engagement, audience growth, clicks, and conversions.
Identify what is and isn’t working and translate those insights into actionable recommendations.
Continuously test and refine content, formats, posting frequency, and creative approaches.
Share performance insights and recommendations with the Brand Storytelling & Content Manager.

Qualifications

2–4 years of experience creating content and managing social media for a brand, agency, or media company.
Strong working knowledge of Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, Facebook, YouTube, and LinkedIn, including their respective formats, trends, and audiences.
Ability to shoot and edit short-form content quickly and effectively.
Strong visual judgment with an eye for composition, detail, aesthetics, and brand consistency.
Strong copywriting and storytelling skills in both French and English.English is necessary because the role involves creating content for, and engaging with, communities, creators and partners across North America.
Comfortable taking a creative idea or brief and turning it into finished social content.
Strong understanding of social media trends, audience behaviour, and modern content consumption.
Organized and comfortable managing multiple projects, content deadlines, and priorities simultaneously.
Curious and experimental, with an interest in testing content and using performance data to improve results.
Able to take creative direction while bringing your own ideas and perspective to the work.
Strong interest in design, architecture, landscaping, outdoor living, home, and lifestyle brands.
Comfortable collaborating with creative teams, photographers, videographers, creators, influencers, and other internal stakeholders.

Assets

Experience with social media management and scheduling platforms such as Later, Sprout Social, Hootsuite, or similar.
Experience with content creation and editing tools such as CapCut, Canva, Adobe Premiere, Lightroom, Photoshop, or similar.
Experience working directly with creators or influencers.
Experience creating content for design, architecture, home, construction, hospitality, or lifestyle brands.
Experience covering events, launches, shoots, or activations for social media.

Location
