Role Overview

Reporting to the Supervisor, Travel & Office Services, the Office Services Clerk provides hands-on operational support to the office, with a primary focus on building maintenance coordination, health and safety, workplace services, supplies, and employee support.

This is a highly transparent, hands-on role that requires regular movement throughout the office and building. The candidate will be practical, responsive, organized, and comfortable working closely with employees, building management, vendors, and internal departments to ensure the workplace operates safely and efficiently.

The role also provides reception and general Office Services coverage when required

Key Responsibilities

Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures
Coordinate day-to-day building and office maintenance requirements, including identifying issues, following up on service requests, and liaising with building management, contractors, and service providers.
Conduct regular walkthroughs of the office to identify maintenance, safety, cleanliness, equipment, and workplace issues and ensure they are addressed promptly.
Monitor the condition and functionality of common areas, meeting rooms, kitchens, workspaces, and office equipment.
Coordinate preventative maintenance and repairs, advancing issues to the appropriate internal or external contact as required.
Order, receive, organize, and maintain office, kitchen, first aid, and other operational supplies.
Monitor inventory levels and ensure essential supplies are available when needed.
Assist with deliveries, moves, furniture arrangements, room setups, and other physical office requirements.
Provide hands-on support for office projects, events, changes, and operational needs.

Qualifications

Previous experience in office services, facilities, building operations, workplace services, or a similar hands-on operational role.
Practical, hands-on approach with a willingness to be actively involved in day-to-day office operations.
Comfortable spending a significant portion of the workday on their feet and moving throughout the workplace.
Strong organizational and follow-up skills, with the ability to lead multiple requests and priorities.
Comfortable dealing with building management, contractors, vendors, and employees.
Good judgment and ability to identify issues and take appropriate action or escalate when necessary.
Strong communication and social skills.
Reliable, flexible, and willing to step in wherever operational support is needed.
Ability to occasionally handle and move office supplies, equipment, furniture, and deliveries as required.
Proficiency with standard office technology and Microsoft Office applications.
Experience supporting workplace health and safety or ergonomics programs is an asset.
First Aid certification or experience supporting workplace safety programs is an asset but not required

Pay Range: CAD $49,000 - $60,000 per year

The actual amount offered is determined based on the successful candidate’s relevant experience, skills, and competencies and considers internal equity.
