- Lead reliability engineering activities primarily for the Grinding Circuit, including SAG and ball mills, drive systems, lubrication systems, pumps, cyclones, screens, and associated equipment.
- Develop, implement, and optimize equipment reliability and maintenance strategies using RCM, FMEA/FMECA, condition-based maintenance, equipment criticality assessments, and preventive maintenance optimization.
- Analyze equipment condition, failure history, maintenance data, and operating performance to identify risks, recurring failures, and reliability improvement opportunities.
- Lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and failure investigations, ensuring effective corrective actions are implemented to prevent repeat equipment failures.
- Provide technical oversight of condition monitoring programs, including vibration analysis, oil analysis, thermography, ultrasonic testing, NDT, and equipment wear monitoring.
- Support planned shutdowns, mill relines, major component replacements, and equipment overhauls while optimizing inspection intervals and asset lifecycle strategies.
- Monitor reliability performance indicators, assess asset health and risks, and provide recommendations for equipment refurbishment, replacement, upgrades, and capital investments.
- Collaborate with Maintenance, Operations, Engineering, Planning, Projects, OEMs, and contractors to improve equipment performance, while providing secondary reliability support to other Mill fixed plant areas as required.
