Our Client is looking for experienced Senior UX Designers to support large-scale digital initiatives within the Ontario public sector. The successful candidates will lead user-centred design activities, conduct end-to-end user research, facilitate design workshops, and create intuitive experiences across web and mobile applications.
Key Responsibilities
Candidates should have strong hands-on experience across both UX research and UX/UI design, including user interviews, surveys, questionnaires, stakeholder consultations, wireframing, prototyping, usability testing, and design iteration.

- Create effective, user-friendly, and visually appealing digital interfaces.
- Design and improve end-to-end user experiences based on user research, testing, and feedback.
- Conduct user research, interviews, surveys, and usability testing.
- Translate research findings into sitemaps, user flows, customer/user journey maps, wireframes, mockups, and prototypes.
- Lead UX projects, design workshops, and stakeholder alignment sessions.
- Design and deliver experiences optimized across different devices and interfaces.
- Research, conceptualize, sketch, prototype, test, and iterate digital product experiences.
- Identify usability and design challenges and develop practical solutions.
- Gather stakeholder and user feedback to improve existing interfaces.
- Work closely with developers, QA specialists, business stakeholders, and other cross-functional teams.
- Prepare clear documentation, design reviews, assessments, and supporting materials.
- Strong experience as a UX Designer, UI Designer, Interaction Designer, Product Designer, or similar role.
- Experience designing web and mobile applications.
- Strong experience creating GUI/interface designs based on user interaction and usability requirements.
- Ability to define and lead UX initiatives, workshops, and stakeholder alignment sessions.
- Experience managing end-to-end user research, from participant recruitment through research synthesis.
- Strong experience with wireframes, user flows, user journeys, mockups, prototypes, and usability testing.
- Hands-on experience with Figma, Canva, and similar design/prototyping tools.
- Understanding of web technologies and their implications for UX/UI design.
- Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.
- Proven ability to collaborate with developers, QA teams, business stakeholders, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Previous Ontario Public Service (OPS) or broader public-sector experience.
- Experience with the Ontario Design System.
- Knowledge of the Ontario Digital Service Standard.
- Knowledge of accessibility testing and accessible design practices.
- Experience designing solutions aligned with WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility standards.
- Experience working with complex or legacy systems and navigating multiple stakeholder/approval relationships.
Candidates should have strong hands-on experience across both UX research and UX/UI design, including user interviews, surveys, questionnaires, stakeholder consultations, wireframing, prototyping, usability testing, and design iteration.
