Original job description
Our client is implementing digital communication channels for cancer screening correspondence, providing an alternative to printed letters for invitations, recalls, results and reminders across breast, cervical and colorectal screening programs. Approximately 50% of Ontarians are eligible for at least one of these programs. The initiative supports Ontario s Digital First for Health Strategy. The Senior Systems Testing / QA Specialist will focus on testing the project s Monitoring and Evaluation reporting requirements.
Responsibilities
5 7 years of experience writing complete SQL scripts, including complex joins and aggregations.
Responsibilities
- Advise on testing strategies, test plans, testing tools and resource requirements.
- Plan and coordinate testing for large systems across GUI and non-GUI environments, including system integration, specialized, user acceptance and stress testing.
- Develop and execute test plans, test scripts and test cases.
- Collaborate with testing leads, IT leads and project teams throughout analysis, design, development, implementation and ongoing support.
- Perform manual testing and debugging using complex SQL queries and ETL validation to verify the accuracy and integrity of data extraction and transformation.
- Execute functional, integration, interface, performance and regression testing.
- Estimate testing effort and contribute to test planning and preparation.
- Analyze requirements, investigate technical issues, identify defects and recommend enhancements.
- Prepare test reports and supporting documentation in accordance with Ontario Health QA standards.
- Communicate testing strategies, findings and issues clearly, incorporate stakeholder feedback and promote QA best practices
5 7 years of experience writing complete SQL scripts, including complex joins and aggregations.
- 3 5 years of ETL testing experience using Informatica or an equivalent tool.
- Experience working on data warehouse and/or data migration projects.
- Strong SQL Server and/or Oracle database knowledge.
- Experience validating ETL processes, data mappings and backend data accuracy.
- Experience developing test plans, test cases, SQL test scripts and requirements traceability documentation.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
- Experience executing DataStage ETL jobs using UNIX shell scripts.
- Siebel/CRM proficiency.
- Knowledge of Azure or AWS cloud concepts.
- Basic Unix/Linux skills.
- Public sector experience.
