Original job description

Business Analyst

We are looking for a Business Analyst to support business process improvement, system enhancements, data quality and operational initiatives. This role will work closely with business teams, service providers and technical resources to gather requirements and help translate business needs into practical solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Gather, analyze, document and validate business and functional requirements.
Facilitate stakeholder workshops, consultations and requirements-gathering sessions.
Assess current-state processes, conduct gap analysis and identify opportunities for improvement.
Develop process maps, business needs assessments and recommendations for streamlined workflows.
Work with business and technical teams to translate requirements into system solutions and actionable work plans.
Support initiatives focused on data quality, reporting and operational efficiency.
Validate system configurations and requirements within test environments.
Develop and support UAT plans, test scenarios, testing, issue tracking and validation.
Support change management, training, implementation and user adoption activities.
Document stakeholder feedback and support alignment and buy-in for proposed changes.
Develop implementation roadmaps, including recommended activities and timelines.
Identify opportunities for future system and process enhancements.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Information Systems or a related field.
3+ years of Business Analysis, Project Coordination or similar experience.
Strong experience with requirements gathering, process analysis and stakeholder engagement.
Experience supporting process improvement, data analysis or operational optimization initiatives.
Familiarity with Agile and/or Waterfall project methodologies.
Experience with UAT, testing and requirements validation.
Previous public sector or non-profit experience is considered an asset.
