Business Analyst

We are seeking an experienced Senior Business Systems Analyst to support enterprise-wide technology initiatives for a leading post-secondary institution.

This opportunity is ideal for a senior BA who enjoys working at the intersection of business strategy, enterprise technology, data, and digital transformation. The successful candidate will play a key role in evaluating business needs, shaping technology solutions, and translating complex organizational requirements into practical, scalable outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Partner with business units, IT teams, and institutional stakeholders to assess business challenges and identify technology-driven solutions.
• Lead requirements gathering, business process analysis, and functional documentation for complex enterprise initiatives.
• Evaluate enterprise applications, cloud solutions, and technology products, providing recommendations based on business value, feasibility, cost, and risk.
• Support system modernization, application integration, data migration, reporting, and analytics initiatives.
• Develop business cases, process flows, use cases, gap assessments, and solution recommendations.
• Facilitate stakeholder workshops and collaborate with technical teams to define system interfaces, data requirements, and integration needs.
• Coordinate requirements validation, UAT, implementation readiness, and transition-to-support activities.
• Identify opportunities for process optimization, automation, improved data quality, and operational efficiency.
• Provide senior-level analysis and guidance while contributing to best practices and continuous improvement across the business analysis function.

What We're Looking For:

• 6+ years of progressive experience in business and systems analysis within complex enterprise IT environments.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
• Strong experience with end-to-end business analysis and requirements management across Waterfall and Hybrid project delivery methodologies.
• Background supporting enterprise applications, ERP/SIS platforms, or large-scale system implementations.
• Knowledge of data integration, data warehousing, reporting, analytics, and data governance.
• Experience with cloud-based technologies, digital transformation, and enterprise collaboration platforms such as Microsoft 365 and SharePoint.
• Familiarity with APIs, middleware, system integrations, and enterprise architecture concepts.
• Strong documentation, analytical, problem-solving, workshop facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience with tools such as Visio, Jira, Azure DevOps, Power BI, Excel, or similar platforms is an asset.
• CBAP, PMI-PBA, or equivalent business analysis certification is considered an asset.
