Network Security Specialist – Contract
Location: Langley, BC – Hybrid (50% onsite)
Contract Duration: 6 months
Start Date: November 9, 2026

About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Network Security Specialist to review, strengthen, and improve an organization's existing network infrastructure and security environment.
The successful candidate will have strong hands-on experience with firewalls, load balancers, network security operations, and network segmentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and assess the existing network infrastructure, including firewalls, load balancers, and network architecture.
- Identify security vulnerabilities, configuration gaps, and opportunities to strengthen network security.
- Implement network security improvements and hardening measures.
- Review and improve network segmentation to reduce security risks.
- Configure, troubleshoot, and optimize network security devices.
- Work with internal technical teams to recommend and implement security best practices.
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong background in network administration, network engineering, or network security operations.
- Hands-on experience with Fortinet firewalls.
- Experience with Cisco firewalls and networking technologies.
- Knowledge of F5 load balancers.
- Strong understanding of network segmentation, firewall policies, and network security best practices.
- Experience assessing, troubleshooting, and securing enterprise network environments.
Additional Information
- 6-month contract opportunity.
- Hybrid schedule requiring approximately 50% onsite work in Langley, BC.
- Candidates must be comfortable working hands-on with existing network infrastructure.
