Project Manager/Business Analyst

Our client is looking for a senior Project Manager / Business Analyst to support the Procure to Pay (P2P) workstream within Project Fusion, a major enterprise transformation program. The ERP they should have experience with is Oracle Fusion.

This is primarily an execution, coordination and delivery role supporting the P2P Lead. This person will NOT own the functional P2P decisions. Their job is to make sure the workstream stays organized, tasks are visible, people are accountable, dependencies are managed and nothing falls through the cracks.

The workstream touches:

• Procurement
• Accounts Payable
• Inventory
• Finance
• Related P2P business processes

This person needs to be comfortable working across a large enterprise environment with business stakeholders, technical/project teams and the external system integrator.

WHAT THEY'LL BE DOING

The core of the role is keeping the P2P workstream moving.

They will:

• Support the P2P Lead with day-to-day organization, coordination and execution.
• Maintain visibility into upcoming tasks, deliverables and dependencies.
• Track detailed progress against the P2P project schedule and identify gaps.
• Follow up proactively with project team members to make sure commitments are completed.
• Identify which business resources are required to complete upcoming activities.
• Capture decisions, actions, commitments and outstanding items and maintain accurate follow-up records.
• Provide consistent project updates to stakeholders and leadership.
• Coordinate closely with the system implementer/integrator to ensure tasks are assigned and completed.
• Communicate expectations around deliverables, deadlines and responsibilities.
• Monitor execution and adjust plans as required.
• Measure project performance and identify opportunities to improve execution.
• Guide the project team on corrective actions when deliverables are falling behind.
• Evaluate project processes, anticipate requirements and identify gaps or areas for improvement.
• Work closely with other Project Fusion workstreams to complete cross-functional deliverables and milestones.
• Gather and analyze business/user needs.
• Coordinate development of documentation required for implementation.
• Identify project issues and help drive them to resolution.
• Identify delivery risks early and escalate appropriately to the P2P Lead and Program Leadership.
• Follow Project Fusion governance, standards and delivery frameworks while identifying opportunities for improvement.

WHAT WE SHOULD LOOK FOR

Must Have / High Priority

• 5+ years of Project Management and/or Business Analysis experience, ideally within enterprise software, ERP or digital transformation programs.
• Strong experience coordinating complex enterprise projects/workstreams.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Very strong organization, planning, tracking and follow-through.
• Comfortable chasing deliverables and holding people accountable without having formal authority over them.
• Experience working across multiple stakeholder groups and competing priorities.
• Experience working with system integrators / implementation partners.
• Strong ability to identify risks, dependencies, roadblocks and overdue deliverables and escalate appropriately.
• Experience gathering and analyzing business/user requirements.
• Experience coordinating project and implementation documentation.
• Ability to operate effectively in a large, fast-paced enterprise transformation.

HIGHLY DESIRABLE

Look especially closely for candidates with:

• Procure to Pay (P2P) transformation experience.
• Procurement, Accounts Payable, Inventory and/or Finance process knowledge.
• Large ERP implementation/transformation experience.
• Oracle Fusion / Oracle Cloud ERP experience, particularly Procurement, Finance or Supply Chain.
• Experience with SAP, Oracle JDE or another major enterprise ERP is also relevant.
• Experience working directly with a large SI/system integrator.
• Utilities, energy, midstream or similarly complex enterprise experience.
• MS Project.
• Azure DevOps.

EDUCATION / CERTIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business, Engineering or a related field.
• PMP, PRINCE2 and/or Agile certification is an asset.
