Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Automation Engineer with strong Python, PowerShell, REST API, CMDB, and Asset Management skills. The consultant will develop automation solutions to validate newly discovered external and internet-facing assets against existing CMDB records and improve asset management processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop automation scripts using Python and PowerShell to streamline asset validation processes.
- Build and integrate REST APIs to support asset discovery and CMDB data validation.
- Validate newly discovered external assets against authoritative CMDB inventories.
- Identify discrepancies, missing records, and inconsistencies in asset data.
- Automate asset validation workflows wherever possible.
- Document processes, workflows, and technical procedures.
- Prepare knowledge transfer materials and support operational teams in maintaining the process.
- Collaborate with security and IT operations teams to improve asset management and process governance.
Required Skills
- Strong experience with Python, PowerShell, and REST API development.
- Hands-on experience in automation and scripting.
- Strong knowledge of CMDB and IT Asset Management.
- Experience with asset discovery, data validation, and reconciliation processes.
- Good documentation and communication skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience validating external and internet-facing assets using security technology tools.
- Knowledge of CMDB integration and asset inventory management.
- Experience automating operational workflows and developing process documentation.
- Ability to create workflows, standard operating procedures, and knowledge transfer materials.
