Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced HP NonStop (Tandem) Developer to design, develop, maintain, and support banking and payment applications. The ideal candidate should have strong experience with NonStop OS, COBOL, TACL, SCREEN COBOL, Enscribe Database, and IBM MQ/NonStop MQ. Experience with SWIFT wire transfers or high-value payment systems is an asset.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, test, and implement enhancements for BESS applications.
- Develop and maintain business logic using COBOL85 and SCREEN COBOL.
- Create and maintain TACL scripts and operational utilities.
- Develop and maintain interfaces with banking and payment systems.
- Implement application changes based on business requirements and regulatory mandates.
- Provide L2/L3 production support for critical payment applications.
- Troubleshoot application, database, and messaging issues.
- Ensure application reliability, performance, and stability.
Required Technical Skills:
- Hands-on experience with HP NonStop (Tandem) and NonStop OS.
- Strong programming skills in COBOL85 and SCREEN COBOL.
- Experience with TACL (Tandem Advanced Command Language).
- Knowledge of Enscribe Database.
- Experience with IBM MQ and/or NonStop MQ.
- Experience in application development, maintenance, and production support.
Nice to Have:
- Experience with SWIFT wire payments.
- Knowledge of high-value payment processing systems.
- Experience in banking or financial services applications.
