Job Description
Business Systems Analyst (BSA) with 3-6 years of experience in data-driven transformation initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess strong Business Analysis capabilities combined with hands-on knowledge of 3+ years in Azure Data Factory (ADF), Azure Databricks (ADB), PySpark, and SQL. Banking and financial services experience is highly preferred.
The candidate will act as the bridge between business stakeholders, data engineering teams, and technology partners to gather requirements, perform data analysis, support data integration initiatives, and drive successful delivery of enterprise data solutions.

Key Responsibilities
Business Analysis & Requirements Management
- Gather, analyze, and document business and functional requirements.
- Conduct stakeholder workshops, requirement elicitation sessions, and impact assessments.
- Prepare BRDs, FRDs, User Stories, Process Flows, Use Cases, and Acceptance Criteria.
- Translate business requirements into detailed technical specifications for development teams.
- Facilitate Agile ceremonies including backlog grooming, sprint planning, and UAT support.
Data Analysis & Mapping
- Perform source-to-target mapping (STTM) and data lineage analysis.
- Conduct data profiling, reconciliation, validation, and quality assessments using SQL.
- Analyze data transformation requirements and identify gaps across source and target systems.
- Support regulatory, compliance, and operational data initiatives.
Azure Data Platform Support
- Collaborate with Data Engineers working on Azure Data Factory pipelines.
- Support analysis of Azure Databricks workflows and PySpark transformations.
- Review data ingestion, transformation, and orchestration requirements.
- Assist in defining business rules and validation logic for ETL/ELT processes.
- Participate in testing and validation of ADF/ADB solutions.
Stakeholder & Project Coordination
- Liaise with Business, Technology, Architecture, Data Governance, and Operations teams.
- Communicate project status, risks, dependencies, and remediation plans.
- Support production issue investigations and root-cause analysis.
- Ensure alignment with enterprise data governance and compliance standards.
Technical Skills
- Strong SQL querying, data analysis, and data validation skills.
- 3+ years of knowledge of Azure Data Factory (ADF) and Azure Databricks (ADB).
- Understanding of PySpark-based data transformation processes.
- Experience with Data Mapping, Data Lineage, and Data Quality analysis.
- Familiarity with Azure Data Lake, Azure SQL, and cloud-based data platforms.
- Experience using JIRA, Confluence, Azure DevOps, or similar tools.
