Project Manager with AML experience

"Key Responsibilities
• Project Planning & Execution: Develop comprehensive project plans, timelines, and budgets for AML compliance programs and system implementations
• Stakeholder Management: Coordinate with Compliance, Risk, Legal, Technology, and Business teams to ensure alignment and smooth project delivery
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all projects meet regulatory requirements and industry standards (FATF, FinCEN, OSFI guidelines)
• Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks, particularly those related to compliance and regulatory exposure
• Monitoring & Reporting: Track project progress, manage budgets, and provide regular status updates to senior leadership
• Process Improvement: Recommend and implement process enhancements to strengthen AML controls and operational efficiency
• Documentation: Maintain comprehensive project documentation and audit trails for regulatory examination
Required Qualifications
• 5+ years of project management experience, with at least 3 years in AML, compliance, or regulatory environments
• PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent project management certification
• Strong understanding of AML regulations, KYC (Know Your Customer), and financial crime prevention
• Experience managing technology implementations and system integrations
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Proficiency with project management tools (MS Project, Jira, Smartsheet, etc.)
Preferred Qualifications
• CAMS (Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist) certification
• Banking or financial services industry experience
• Familiarity with AML software platforms and compliance systems
• Experience with Agile or hybrid project method
