Key Responsibilities

Project Planning & Execution: Develop comprehensive project plans, timelines, and budgets for AML compliance programs and system implementations

Stakeholder Management: Coordinate with Compliance, Risk, Legal, Technology, and Business teams to ensure alignment and smooth project delivery

Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all projects meet regulatory requirements and industry standards (FATF, FinCEN, OSFI guidelines)

Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks, particularly those related to compliance and regulatory exposure

Monitoring & Reporting: Track project progress, manage budgets, and provide regular status updates to senior leadership

Process Improvement: Recommend and implement process enhancements to strengthen AML controls and operational efficiency

Documentation: Maintain comprehensive project documentation and audit trails for regulatory examination

Required Qualifications

5+ years of project management experience, with at least 3 years in AML, compliance, or regulatory environments

PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent project management certification

Strong understanding of AML regulations, KYC (Know Your Customer), and financial crime prevention

Experience managing technology implementations and system integrations

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Proficiency with project management tools (MS Project, Jira, Smartsheet, etc.)

Preferred Qualifications

CAMS (Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist) certification

Banking or financial services industry experience

Familiarity with AML software platforms and compliance systems

Experience with Agile or hybrid project method
