📢 We're Hiring: Project Engineer in Freshwater, NL
Are you an experienced construction professional with a background in federal construction projects? We're looking for a Project Engineer to support project planning, coordination, and on-site construction activities while ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget. Reporting to the Project Manager, you'll work closely with architects, engineers, subcontractors, vendors, and project stakeholders to drive successful project execution.
🔹 Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with architects and engineers throughout preconstruction, design, and construction phases.
- Assist with project budgets, schedules, and procurement planning.
- Review design documents for constructability and coordinate distribution to clients and subcontractors.
- Develop, maintain, and update project schedules and track progress.
- Process changes orders and coordinate scope changes among clients, subcontractors, and design teams.
- Support subcontractor and vendor procurement, cost monitoring, and budget management.
- Identify project risks and assist with mitigation strategies.
- Coordinate with owners and security personnel to arrange base access and required clearances.
- Monitor daily construction activities to ensure compliance with plans and specifications.
- Support site safety initiatives and ensure adherence to safety standards.
- Coordinate subcontractors and vendors to maintain quality and timely delivery.
- Coordinate meetings, document key decisions, and track action items.
- Manage submittals and Requests for Information (RFIs).
- Support quality control inspections and maintain project documentation.
🔹 Qualifications
- Degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related field - or equivalent relevant experience.
- Experience as a Construction Project Engineer or Project Manager.
- Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Primavera P6, AutoCAD, and Procore.
- Willingness to travel and relocate near the project site.
- Experience with U.S. federal construction projects is preferred, particularly USACE or NAVFAC projects.
