TekStaff's Client has a current vacancy for " Java Full Stack Developer”
Job Description
This is a 8.5 month contract located in ON - Scarborough / Hybrid (2 days in-office)
Please note - This is a 7.5 hour work day.
*All successful candidates will be subject to a mandatory credit AND criminal check as per the client.
*Please note that all contractors are subject to a possible Holiday Leave program schedule, set by the client.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Design, develop, test, and maintain full-stack applications using Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, and Microservices.
- Build responsive web applications using Angular and/or React, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
- Develop and deploy cloud-native solutions utilizing Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes/OpenShift.
- Integrate applications with enterprise systems, databases, messaging platforms, and third-party services.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Refinement, Daily Stand-Ups, and Retrospectives.
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, code reviews, and release management activities.
- Troubleshoot production issues and implement sustainable solutions while adhering to security, compliance, and operational standards.
Candidate Requirements/Must Have Skills:
- 8+ years of Full stack development experience.
- 5+ years of Strong hands-on experience with:
- Spring Boot, Spring Security, Hibernate/JPA
- RESTful APIs and Microservices Architecture
- Git, CI/CD, and Agile delivery practices
- Experience with cloud platforms, preferably Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
Nice-To-Have Skills:
- Banking or financial services experience.
- Experience with Kafka, Pub/Sub, Event-Driven Architecture, and API security frameworks (OAuth2, JWT).
- Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools such as Splunk, Dynatrace, or Grafana.
- Cloud certifications and experience working in large-scale enterprise environments.

Degrees or certifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
