TekStaff's Client has a current vacancy for " Senior GCP Application Support Engineer
Job Description
This is a 6 month contract located in Toronto, ON/ Hybrid (1-2 days/ week).
Candidate Requirements/Must Have Skills:
- Application Support: 5+ years of experience in application support within Google Cloud Platform (GCP) environments.
- GCP Cloud Technologies: Strong hands-on experience with Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE), Apache Airflow, Dataflow, Dataproc, Pub/Sub, Cloud Logging, and Cloud Monitoring.
- Java & Microservices: Experience supporting Java-based applications and microservices architectures, including troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
- Observability & Monitoring: Proficiency with Grafana and Prometheus for application performance monitoring, metrics analysis, alerting, and incident investigation.
- Production Support & Troubleshooting: Ability to diagnose and resolve complex application and infrastructure issues in cloud-based production environments.

Responsibilities
Support Java-based applications and microservices running in Google Cloud Platform production environments. Diagnose and resolve application and infrastructure issues, investigate incidents, analyze performance and metrics, and perform root cause analysis using monitoring and observability tools.
Requirements
Requires 5+ years of application support experience in GCP environments and hands-on experience with GKE, Airflow, Dataflow, Dataproc, Pub/Sub, Cloud Logging, and Cloud Monitoring. Candidates should have experience supporting Java applications and microservices, using Grafana and Prometheus, and resolving complex production issues.
