This is a highly field-based, customer-facing position involving in-person visits to restaurants and prospective merchant partners to identify their needs and generate opportunities for the sales team.

Initially, the role will involve approximately five days per week in the field, with the potential for responsibilities and projects to evolve over time. • Build relationships with local merchants and identify their business needs, challenges, and priorities.
  • Schedule follow-up calls and meetings between prospective merchants and the sales team.
  • Support new restaurant partners with onboarding and initial platform-related questions.
  • Gather merchant feedback and share market insights with internal teams.
  • Maintain accurate records of merchant interactions, outreach activities, and follow-up opportunities.
  • Troubleshoot basic technical issues and assist merchants with platform-related questions when needed.
  • Represent the company professionally in the local business community.
  • Adapt to evolving business priorities and contribute to new projects as the organization continues to grow.

Qualifications

  • At least six months of experience in a customer-facing role, such as sales, retail, hospitality, or customer service.
  • Confidence approaching unfamiliar businesses and engaging decision-makers in person.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office or Google Workspace, including Word/Docs and Excel/Sheets.
  • Intermediate SQL skills and general technical proficiency, including basic troubleshooting across phones, tablets, and computers.
  • Valid driver's licence and access to a reliable personal vehicle.
  • Must be located in downtown Edmonton or the surrounding area.

Compensation & Perks

  • Hourly compensation of $23$25.
  • Fuel allowance of $0.75 per kilometre for eligible work-related travel.
  • Lunch expenses covered up to $20 per day, subject to applicable expense policies.
  • Full-time schedule of 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
  • Initial 12-month contract with the potential for permanent employment.
  • Opportunity to gain experience with a high-growth technology company and pursue future career opportunities in sales, merchant operations, and account management.

Work Environment

This is a predominantly field-based role requiring regular travel throughout Edmonton. The successful candidate will be comfortable visiting multiple restaurants daily, initiating conversations with prospective partners, and working independently. Although some work-from-home responsibilities may be introduced, the initial focus will be on in-person merchant outreach and relationship building.

Why Apply?
