Job Duration: 3 weeks, with potential for ongoing ad hoc support

Job Type: Temporary Assignment

Work Type: Onsite

Travel: May require travel to data centers within Calgary

Pay Rate: CAD 60.00 – 70.00/hr.

Job Summary

• We are seeking a Senior Networking Resource with strong hands-on experience supporting enterprise network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have expertise with Aruba and Cisco switches, Palo Alto (PAN) firewalls, and Cisco FTD firewalls.
• This is an onsite engagement in Calgary requiring immediate availability. The resource will work closely with the existing network team to configure, connect, troubleshoot, and maintain network equipment across various locations and data centers.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up, configure, and connect network switches and routers.
• Configure and troubleshoot Aruba switches and Cisco switches.
• Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Palo Alto (PAN) firewalls.
• Configure and troubleshoot Cisco FTD firewalls.
• Diagnose and resolve network connectivity and performance issues.
• Perform network troubleshooting across switches, routers, and firewalls.
• Work alongside the existing networking team on infrastructure-related activities.
• Support network deployments, changes, and hardware connectivity.
• Assist with network issues at data centers and other Calgary-area locations.
• Perform hands-on onsite network support as required.
• Document configurations, changes, and troubleshooting activities.

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong senior-level experience in enterprise networking.
• Hands-on experience with Aruba switches.
• Hands-on experience with Cisco switches and routers.
• Strong experience with Palo Alto firewalls.
• Experience with Cisco FTD firewalls.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Experience working in data center/network infrastructure environments.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with a network team.
• Strong communication and onsite support skills.
• Ability to travel to data centers within Calgary when required.
