Care Centres - Wellness Centre Coverage Contractor - On site

Location: Downtown Vancouver (on-site)

Status: Independent Contractor (IHP)

Schedule:

• As required for vacations and other staffing absences.
• Dates, shift times, and hours will be confirmed based on centre needs and your availability.

TELUS Health supports health and well-being through services that help individuals and organizations. Our Corporate Wellness team delivers fitness and wellness programs that help employees build healthy habits and stay active at work.

We are seeking a fitness and wellness professional to provide coverage at a corporate wellness centre in downtown Vancouver during team member vacations and other absences. You will support daily operations and provide a welcoming experience for members.

What you'll do:

• Provide front desk coverage, welcome members, and respond to inquiries
• Complete facility walkthroughs, monitor supplies, and report facility or equipment concerns
• Support safe centre operations and follow established emergency procedures
• Track attendance, promote programming, and support wellness initiatives
• Provide equipment orientations and coordinate scheduled fitness activities
• Lead fitness classes or wellness breaks as needed and within your qualifications

What you'll bring:

• Current CPR, First Aid, and AED certifications.
• Degree or diploma in Kinesiology, Fitness, Health Promotion, Workplace Wellness, or a related field (asset)
• Current group fitness instructor and personal training certifications (asset)
• Experience working in a wellness/fitness centre (asset)
