Original job description

Tenstorrent is leading the industry on cutting-edge AI technology, revolutionizing performance expectations, ease of use, and cost efficiency. With AI redefining the computing paradigm, solutions must evolve to unify innovations in software models, compilers, platforms, networking, and semiconductors. Our diverse team of technologists have developed a high performance RISC-V CPU from scratch, and share a passion for AI and a deep desire to build the best AI platform possible. We value collaboration, curiosity, and a commitment to solving hard problems. We are growing our team and looking for contributors of all seniorities.

We are looking for a Technical Program Manager to help turn advanced hardware systems into reliable, production-ready products. In this role, you will lead the post-silicon productization of high-performance PCIe cards and high-power, multi-chip server systems, coordinating complex work across the full development lifecycle. You will bring structure and momentum to programs by aligning objectives, milestones, resources, risks, and deliverables. Success will depend on your ability to build strong partnerships across product management, hardware, software, supply chain, manufacturing, NPI, and external suppliers.

This role is hybrid, based out of Toronto, Canada.

We welcome candidates at various experience levels for this role. During the interview process, candidates will be assessed for the appropriate level, and offers will align with that level, which may differ from the one in this posting.

Who You Are

A technically grounded program leader who builds alignment across diverse teams and keeps complex initiatives moving toward clear outcomes.
A clear and proactive communicator who can turn open issues into decisions, maintain visibility into program health, and influence without relying on direct authority.
Curious and adaptable, with the judgment to use AI tools responsibly to improve research, planning, analysis, documentation, and day-to-day execution.
Comfortable navigating product development across PCB or mechanical design, software and firmware, validation, NPI operations, ODMs, and external suppliers.
An engineer with a bachelor’s degree or higher in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related technical field, with at least 4 years of product design or validation experience and 3 or more years leading projects or technical programs.

What We Need

Establish integrated program plans covering scope, schedules, resource needs, performance requirements, sourcing, manufacturing, testing, and release readiness.
Coordinate module-level and system-level validation, including compliance, reliability, life testing, and other activities required to launch a successful product.
Monitor execution closely, raise risks early, and partner with stakeholders to create practical mitigation plans and resolve issues.
Maintain the documentation and communication needed by engineering, manufacturing, customer-service, and leadership teams, including test procedures, drawings, bills of materials, reports, and program-review presentations.

What You Will Learn

The realities of bringing complex compute hardware from post-silicon evaluation into a manufacturable and supportable product.
The dependencies that connect engineering decisions with supply chain execution, ODM coordination, manufacturing readiness, validation, and customer support.
Ways to build effective release plans around performance targets, system validation, compliance, reliability, and production readiness.
New approaches to leading through ambiguity, building trust across functions, and helping technical teams make progress on difficult problems.

Tenstorrent offers a highly competitive compensation package and benefits, and we are an equal opportunity employer.

This offer of employment is contingent upon the applicant being eligible to access U.S. export-controlled technology. Due to U.S. export laws, including those codified in the U.S. Export Administration Regulations (EAR), the Company is required to ensure compliance with these laws when transferring technology to nationals of certain countries (such as EAR Country Groups D:1, E1, and E2). These requirements apply to persons located in the U.S. and all countries outside the U.S. As the position offered will have direct and/or indirect access to information, systems, or technologies subject to these laws, the offer may be contingent upon your citizenship/permanent residency status or ability to obtain prior license approval from the U.S. Commerce Department or applicable federal agency. If employment is not possible due to U.S. export laws, any offer of employment will be rescinded.
