Original job description

Role Overview:

Build and deliver a secure, intuitive Software Realization dashboard on Databricks, bringing together software renewals, contract spend and capability overlap. This is a hands-on, deliverables-driven engagement supporting a software portfolio initiative built on Databricks and a curated Unified Data Layer (UDL).

About Teqfocus:

Teqfocus is a Data and AI company that helps enterprises build and scale the Agentic Enterprise - connecting the data foundation, the intelligence layer, and the applications teams run their businesses on into a single, coherent architecture.

As a Salesforce Summit Partner, we work in Healthcare, Life Sciences, Financial Services, Insurance, and Hi-Tech - industries where getting AI right matters and the tolerance for failure is low. Our delivery model is senior-heavy by design. The same team that scopes an engagement ships it to production. There are no junior shadow teams, no sub-contractors brought in when the problem gets hard, and no hand-off to a separate managed services vendor when the project closes.

We run an internal innovation practice that builds the reusable patterns, pre-tested architectures, and industry-specific frameworks that give every Teqfocus client a head start - and give every Teqfocus practitioner work that compounds over time.

We are a diverse, immigrant-entrepreneurial company. We were built on the conviction that the best outcomes come from people who take genuine ownership of what they build - and are trusted to do so.

Key Responsibilities:

Dashboard Development

  • Build a hosted Databricks dashboard using AI/BI Dashboards, Databricks Apps, or a suitable combination; recommend the approach and trade-offs early in the engagement.
  • Develop renewal radar, application detail, capability comparison, and portfolio views with fiscal quarter, fiscal year and custom date filters.
  • Display notice deadlines, contract value, application owners, similar tools, capability overlap, and supporting match evidence.
  • Implement filters by category, owner, cost center and contract value, plus renewal status and data freshness indicators.

Data, Security and Delivery

  • Write efficient SQL queries and presentation-layer views on curated Unified Data Layer (UDL) contract, application and capability tables.
  • Implement role-based access with appropriate data-layer enforcement, including Unity Catalog permissions or row-level controls.
  • Surface missing fields and unmatched records; validate dashboard metrics against sourcing and asset registry systems.
  • Collaborate with business analysts and data engineers on schemas, interfaces, UAT, testing, rollout and defect resolution.
  • Produce technical design, operational runbook, user documentation, weekly status updates and final knowledge transfer.

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years building data applications or dashboards, including 2+ years of hands-on Databricks experience.
  • Databricks SQL, Delta Lake and Unity Catalog, including permissions and row-level or column-level security.
  • Experience with Databricks AI/BI Dashboards, Databricks Apps or comparable lakehouse-hosted applications.
  • Strong SQL, performance tuning, Python and, where relevant, JavaScript or a front-end framework.
  • Experience with role-based access, fiscal-calendar logic, data visualization, source reconciliation and UAT.
  • Able to deliver independently on short timelines and communicate effectively with technical and business stakeholders.

Good to Have:

  • Experience building portfolio management, procurement, contract or renewal dashboards.
  • Familiarity with LLM-enabled similarity or capability-overlap results and evidence-based comparisons..
