Senior Data Steward – Quote-to-Cash

Role Overview:

We are seeking a Senior Data Steward – Quote-to-Cash (QTC) to lead business data ownership, standards, quality, migration readiness, and governance across quoting, contracts, subscriptions, invoicing, payments, and revenue. The role works closely with Sales Operations, Finance, Engineering, Legal, IT, and analytics teams.

Key Responsibilities:

1.Quote-to-Cash Data Ownership

• Define standards and business rules for quotes, quote lines, pricing, discounts, approvals, contracts, amendments, orders, subscriptions, renewals, entitlements, invoices, credits, payments, and revenue schedules.
• Own booking definitions, subscription and install-base data, renewal and co-term dates, entitlement rules, and inputs to ARR and revenue reporting in partnership with Finance.
• Maintain lineage and reliable handoffs between Salesforce, CPQ, contract lifecycle management, Workday Financials, and revenue systems.

2.Governance & Stakeholder Accountability

• Establish accountable business owners and RACI for data definitions, quality, migration readiness, retention, and approvals.
• Coordinate handoffs with opportunity, product, customer account, engineering, support, services, and finance data owners; escalate unresolved ownership or quality risks.

3.Data Quality & Migration

• Define critical data elements, quality rules, thresholds, dashboards, and scorecards; investigate root causes of contract, entitlement, billing, and revenue discrepancies.
• Lead business-side data migration work: source-to-target mapping, transformation, cleansing, archival decisions, reconciliation, acceptance criteria, documented sign-offs, and cutover readiness.
• Develop reusable migration playbooks and track remediation actions through closure.

4.Compliance, Analytics & AI

• Apply data classification, access, privacy, retention, audit, tax, legal, and SOX requirements in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
• Own business definitions and quality expectations for Quotes & Contracts, Subscriptions & Entitlements, and Invoices & Revenue source-aligned data products in Snowflake.
• Maintain Atlan glossary definitions, data contracts, classification tags, and certification status.
• Identify opportunities for automation and AI-assisted anomaly detection, duplicate detection, quality monitoring, and migration validation.

Required Qualifications:

• 5+ years of relevant experience in data stewardship, data governance, enterprise data management, or related business-data roles.
• Strong end-to-end Quote-to-Cash / Order-to-Cash knowledge, including Salesforce, CPQ, contracts, subscriptions, billing, and revenue data.
• Experience defining business rules, ownership frameworks, data quality metrics, metadata, lineage, and governance processes.
• Practical experience in data migration, mappings, cleansing, reconciliation, data validation, and business sign-offs.
• Strong stakeholder management, analytical reasoning, communication, and ability to work independently with distributed North American teams.

Preferred Skills & Success Measures:

• Workday Financials, Salesforce CPQ or Billing, Atlan or comparable governance catalog, and Snowflake.
• ARR and revenue reporting, DAMA-DMBOK, SOX, data retention, and privacy controls.
• Enterprise system consolidation, M&A data migrations, or AI-driven data-quality automation.
• Critical QTC data is defined, documented, and assigned accountable owners; data quality improves over time.
• Billing and revenue defects decrease; contract/order data reconciles with Financials; renewals are created accurately and on time.
• Migrations launch with reconciled data and formal owner sign-off; QTC data products remain governed and certified.
