Our Team, Your Impact
We are seeking an experienced and hands-on
Maintenance Manager to lead site maintenance operations at our growing pharmaceutical manufacturing facility in Stouffville, Ontario.
In this leadership role, you will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day maintenance activities, supporting production operations, managing site systems and contractors, and driving reliability and continuous improvement initiatives. You will play a critical role in ensuring our facility, equipment, and infrastructure operate safely, efficiently, and in compliance with GMP and regulatory requirements.

How You’ll Spend Your Day
- Lead and manage all site maintenance activities to support production schedules and business objectives.
- Provide technical expertise and problem-solving support for manufacturing equipment, including tablet presses, fluid bed dryers, compactors, coating pans, encapsulators, packaging lines, and other pharmaceutical processing equipment.
- Oversee preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs to maximize equipment reliability and uptime.
- Monitor critical equipment and site systems to ensure uninterrupted operations and business continuity.
- Participate in the site's 24/7 on-call rotation and provide emergency support as required.
- Lead, coach, and develop maintenance personnel while fostering a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement.
- Coordinate and oversee the activities of contractors, vendors, and service providers supporting site operations and projects.
- Provide training and mentorship to team members and support cross-functional collaboration across the organization.
- Manage facility renovations, infrastructure upgrades, and capital projects from planning through execution.
- Identify and implement reliability, efficiency, and cost-saving initiatives across maintenance operations.
- Support strategic planning activities through effective asset lifecycle management and facility planning.
- Utilize root cause analysis and best practices to address recurring issues and drive sustainable solutions.
- Ensure all maintenance activities are performed in accordance with GMP, EHS, and regulatory requirements.
- Support internal audits, regulatory inspections, and inspection readiness initiatives.
- Maintain maintenance records, permits, procedures, inspection reports, and compliance documentation.
- Investigate incidents, identify root causes, implement corrective actions, and proactively address workplace hazards.
- Champion environmental, health, and safety excellence while promoting a strong safety culture throughout the site.
- Manage maintenance budgets and identify opportunities for cost optimization.
- Procure parts, consumables, and maintenance supplies while maintaining effective inventory controls and min/max stock levels.
- Review project scopes, estimate costs, and support budget forecasting for maintenance and capital projects.
Your Skills And Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline
- Minimum 7 years of progressive maintenance experience, including at least 3 years in a leadership role within a pharmaceutical, biotechnology, manufacturing, or other GMP-regulated environment
- Strong knowledge of maintenance programs, equipment reliability, and facility operations
- Experience supporting audits, regulatory inspections, and compliance initiatives
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel
- Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation
- Skilled trades license (Electrician, Millwright, or equivalent)
- Experience managing maintenance budgets, capital projects, and contractor relationships
- Strong understanding of facility lifecycle management and long-term asset planning
- Proven leadership and team development skills
- Strong project management and organizational abilities
- Excellent troubleshooting and root cause analysis capabilities
- Effective decision-making and problem-solving skills
- Outstanding communication and stakeholder management skills
- Customer-focused mindset with a collaborative approach

At Teva Canada we provide a rewarding and collaborative work experience, with career growth and development opportunities for employees, in a safe and caring environment! The typical hiring range for this position is $110,480-$138,100. The base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, education, and internal equity. In addition to base salary, this role may qualify for an annual bonus based on employment type. Certain positions may also be eligible for a sales commission structure as part of the overall compensation package.
