We are growing and looking for an experienced Operations Manager to join our team! As the Operations Manager, you will oversee daily transportation, yard, and warehouse operations, ensuring the safe, efficient, and cost-effective movement and storage of materials. This hands-on leadership role requires strong operational expertise, the ability to lead multiple teams, and experience in specialized transportation, including pipe hauling and over-dimensional loads.

As the Operations Manager, you will oversee daily transportation, yard, and warehouse operations, ensuring the safe, efficient, and cost-effective movement and storage of materials. - Oversee daily trucking, yard, and warehouse operations, including dispatch, routing, load planning, and material handling.
- Lead, coach, and develop drivers, dispatchers, yard personnel, and warehouse teams.
- Optimize fleet utilization, equipment availability, labour, and operational costs.
- Manage warehouse operations, inventory control, and yard organization.
- Ensure compliance with transportation regulations, hours-of-service requirements, and safety standards.
- Coordinate equipment maintenance and operational readiness.
- Resolve operational challenges and customer service escalations.
- Monitor operational KPIs, including on-time performance, productivity, inventory accuracy, and cost control.
- Collaborate with Safety, HR, Maintenance, and Accounting to support business objectives.
- Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, processes, and service delivery.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in trucking, transportation, yard, or warehouse operations is required
- Experience with pipe transportation and/or over-dimensional loads is required
- General warehousing experience is required
- Proven leadership experience managing operational teams
- Strong understanding of transportation regulations, fleet operations, and safety compliance
- Experience with transportation management systems (TMS), electronic logging devices (ELDs), and warehouse or inventory management systems
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Experience managing operational budgets and performance targets
- Knowledge of SAP Materials Management (SAP MM) is considered an asset

Responsibilities
Oversee daily trucking, yard, and warehouse operations, leading teams and managing dispatch, routing, load planning, inventory, equipment readiness, and safety compliance. Monitor operational performance and costs, resolve customer and operational issues, and work with internal departments to improve efficiency and service delivery.
Requirements
Requires at least five years of trucking, transportation, yard, or warehouse operations experience, including pipe transportation or over-dimensional loads, and general warehousing experience. Candidates should have proven team leadership, knowledge of transportation regulations and safety, familiarity with TMS, ELD, and warehouse or inventory systems, and experience managing budgets and performance targets; SAP MM is an asset.
