Original job description

A well established CPA Accounting Firm in South Surrey is seeking a full time receptionist/administrative assistant to join our team. Office size of about 18-20 people. We have a great work environment and are looking for an experienced, organized, and dependable administrative assistant to join our team!

Our office is professional and we work in a supportive and team oriented environment. We do have a busy tax season from February to April but have a friendly, relaxed atmosphere where everyone supports one another and works together as a team. We’re looking for someone who will enjoy becoming an important part of our office and a strong contributing member.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

Answering phones in a professional and courteous manner
Greeting clients for meetings
Provide polite, positive and courteous client service, both in person and on the phone
Scanning, filing, and maintaining confidential client records
Preparing documents and assembling tax packages
Sending out electronic packages for e-signature
Scheduling appointments for partners
General office administration
Ordering and maintaining supplies
Providing administrative support and chipping in with other daily office tasks as needed
Help organize and schedule social events for the office

The successful candidate will have:

Previous experience in a professional services environment - not required but a valuable asset
Post secondary education in administration or business is an asset
Previous customer service experience is highly valued
Very strong written and verbal communication skills
Strong organizational and time-management skills
Very punctual
Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook and ability to learn new software
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to prioritize and complete tasks in a timely manner
Being able to handle the pressures of a deadline oriented environment
The ability to work independently
Discretion when handling confidential information
A genuine commitment to exceptional client care
A great attitude and willingness to pitch in

We are a team oriented office so soft skills and a professional approach in dealing with clients is a must. Furthermore, the candidate must be able to interact with staff in a positive manner, be well organized and efficient, and have the ability to handle the pressures of deadlines and multitasking.

HOURS OF WORK

Monday through Friday; 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, occasional Saturdays during March and April. Overtime may be required from time to time if necessary.

Compensation will be based on experience and is competitive with an extended health package available to staff.
