Job details

Job type: Full-time
Experience: 1-2 years of management or supervisor experience at the front desk in a hotel or in other hospitality establishments.
Posting language: English

Original job description

Have you ever walked into a hotel and felt instantly welcomed by the front desk team's warm smile? That initial interaction sets the tone for your entire stay, and as our Front Desk Manager, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring every guest feels that same sense of hospitality magic. If you're ready to step into a dynamic position, where you'll blend hospitality with a touch of fun, then you're in the right place!

Your Primary Responsibilities Include:

Support the Front Office by overseeing daily operations and acting as Manager on Duty.
Address guest issues proactively and assist or act as an alternate for service recovery initiatives.
Act as the main point of contact for handling and reporting client-related issues, including reservations, cancellations, and special requests.
Responsible for front office staff schedules, staffing and time-off requests.
Evaluate performance and provide feedback to front office staff, identifying areas for improvement and development opportunities.
Mentor and hold front office staff accountable.
Provide training and support when needed.
Support the Front Desk operations overall by assisting with guest inquiries, reservations, check-ins/check-outs, and other typical day-to-day tasks.

Qualifications:

1-2 years of management or supervisor experience at the front desk in a hotel or in other hospitality establishments.
Familiarity with Opera or any other property management system is beneficial.
A "go-getter" who's not afraid to be hands-on. Working weekends and even the odd evening is to be expected in this role.
A tech whiz - there's a lot of technology and hospitality software systems involved.

Of course, there are a plethora of other administrative items and the typical day-to-day operations that you'll be responsible for, but those are pretty hard to sum up in a job ad.

About Us:

As an independent, locally owned establishment, we invest in our hotel, foster an exceptional Crew, and strive for unparalleled guest experiences. Our Core Values - Above & Beyond, Fastidiousness, Got This, Unconventional, and Neighbourly - steer us toward service excellence. Our offerings include free parking, daily Crew lunches, health benefits, engaging staff events, and other fantastic perks.

If you're ready to take on a diverse role with plenty of room for growth and advancement, submit your application online and tell us why you should be our newest member of The Atlas° Crew!
