Original job description
Summary
The Contract Manufacturing Associate runs the day-to-day contract manufacturing (CoMan) transactions for assigned regions, from receiving a Project Manager's request to getting finished product to site. The role suits someone with solid supply chain or procurement fundamentals and strong AutoCAD skills who is organized, accurate, and eager to learn.
Beyond core transactions, the Associate keeps CoMan system data and drawings accurate, troubleshoots routine issues, and suggests process improvements. As they grow, they take on additional projects such as supplier sourcing and supplier issue resolution, with guidance from the Director of Supply Chain. This is a full-time, in-office role at our Vaughan office, Monday to Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Key responsibilities

- Translate PM sketches and requirements into accurate AutoCAD drawings.
- Send drawings and specifications to PMs for approval and track approvals to completion.
- Schedule production and place orders with external suppliers.
- Create, track and update purchase orders (POs).
- Coordinate receipt of products at the GTA warehouse with the Warehouse team.
- Work with the Logistics team to arrange timely transportation of products to regional sites.
- Follow up with suppliers on order status, lead times and delivery dates, and keep PMs informed.
Data, drawings and process support
- Maintain accurate CoMan data in company systems, including orders, POs, supplier details and drawing records.
- Troubleshoot routine order, supplier or delivery issues, and escalate complex issues to the Director with the relevant facts.
- Identify recurring problems or workload constraints and suggest process improvements.
- Support the team during peak periods and help reduce backlog.
Additional projects (as development and capacity allow)
- Support sourcing activities, including researching and evaluating potential new suppliers.
- Work with suppliers to resolve quality, timing or cost issues, under guidance from the Director.
- Other duties as assigned by the Director of Supply Chain.

- Clear written and verbal communication with internal teams and suppliers.
